@WNG- I don't plan on making a reservation, I'm pretty sure that they will have enough rooms.
@Power - I doubt there will be time due to the rush of people coming in on the 31st and getting kicked off the beach. Don't curse the wind Gods.

Mark, I will be camping with my family at the seashore campgrounds, I will look for the link and send it too you. Myself, Silver Eagle, and a few others have stayed there. Nice campground with nice facilities! Beach comber is the other one, not sure on that one. They have spots for the rv's , campers, tents.

Oh I love the new avatar pic! Looking good in the new ride! Can't wait to see it, I have my new ride to show as well! See you guys soon!

I may be wrong but it was like $20 something for a tent site.
since it will just be me coming I may save some cash and camp again this spring

Hey Mark, Seashore campgrounds are 35 for a rv, travel trailer with elec cable, and sewer. A little less for the other sites. www.seashorecampsites.com is the web address. This is where I stayed in the fall. Really nice campground! Only ten minutes to the Apollo, and a WaWa within 5 minutes! Know how we need those WaWa's! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.!

It's got the purple seat pictured at the bottom. It's also got a PL splash guard on it. That'll be included. I was thinking $250. Everything on it is like new. There are couple of Ozone stickers on it. But they'll peel off easily enough if you don't want them on there.

Hey Rich, Ryan, Dean and everyone!

I still have the Ace but after suffering a brutal back injury snowboarding this year, I haven't been able to kite at all. My back is about 90% better but i'm hoping to be in tip-top shape by WW though. Can't wait to see your homebrew buggy in action Rich! Looking forward to seeing the whole gang again!!!

Roc- i called the apollo and they said reservations were probably not nec. since it is so early in the season. I will probably make them though once i decide if i am camping or not. I prefer to camp but seems most folks are looking to stay at the apollo (hotel is not that much more expensive than a campsite) I will probably decide a little closer when we have a better idea as to what the weather is going to be hopefully WINDY

Thanks Guys. We preffer to camp as well. But got spoiled in Antigua where camping is not an option and stayed in a very nice condo for 9 days!! But man is camping cheaper :lol:

Seashore campgrounds. Real nice and clean. Nice shower and bathroom facilities, (showers are coin operated 50 cents gets you a nice shower) They also have a store on sight for little things. The previous page has the web address.

The motel will take a reservation on a credit card however it is non refundable and you have to put 2 days down for the hold. I'll probably just watch the weather for the week and then make a call. Is Brian coming?

My reservations are made for Seashore. Lot L1 heading in with Rian on Wed. should be there around 2 or 3pm. My wife and kids will catch up with us on friday when the kids get off school! Can't wait!:roll:

i need some information fast ... im trying to get there if possible but i need to know where im flying to

right now I can get a flight to EWR (Newark), is this the right place?

i would arrive on THU and leave MON. can I crash at someone's place?

only other request is that i need a location for Red Bull.

There are stores nearby where you can get Red Bull. Don't know about a place to crash. Most of us will be staying at the Apollo, it's pretty cheap.

With a lot of help from Sandy (I'm a computer idiot) II did some research and made some calls. It will be $31 a night at the camp ground for a tent side. Or $58 a night for an efficancy at the apollo. I called and she said there is really no need for a reservation. So I think it's the apollo barking buggy eating spiders and all:rolleyes:
Oh and very cool Rip it would be cool to meet you. Maybe you can teach a giant to ride buggy better.:wee:

Hey Rip, There is a Red Bull Distributor in the corporate park down the street here in Wall, NJ. About 90 minutes north of WW. Maybe they can throw you some swag to bring down? If you fly into Newark, it's on the way. "What Exit?"..... Right off GSP Exit 98 :wink2:
I'll be down Friday and Sunday. Family obligations Saturday.

I'll leave my bug if anyone needs one Saturday. Randy?

And I'll be sleeping home...you can have the spiders. lol
My 11 yr old son loves spiders so he may be going though your rooms @ The Apollo in search of the big one. Last fall we had the biggest creepiest spider I've seen in our garage. Without hesitation, he scooped it up in his bare hands, studied it awhile, then bought it outside. But his Rush 250 scares him. Go figure.

Rip, Newark Airport is quite a ways from WW. I understand it's the closest International airport, but you will definitely have to hitch a ride, how much gear would you be bringing? i dont have room for your buggy, but if you need to ship anything else ahead of time I can transport it to WW. You might be able to catch a NJ transit or Amtrak from the airport
down to WW and I can pick you up there if you cant make other arrangements. Really hope you can make it... :thumbup: :cool:

Barrows are fine on Wildwood. If you need a place to stay Rip your more than welcome to join me at the Apollo. The rooms on me. I'll be there from Wednesday evening to Sunday evening. I would second the suggestion to look into Atlantic City Airport. Would be much closer. Newark NJ is a bit of a haul from Wildwood. If you are shipping your buggy seperately, I am sure we can find someone to come up and get you. Or pick you up on the way down. I'd be happy to help, but I'm kind of in the opposite direction. Still, if you need a ride, let me know.

this is so last minute, but i really want to do some beach riding for WC practice. Maria is pushing for me to go. i havent heard back from work yet, its slim but worth a try since I already booked all my VC for this year. too many events, so little time.

if this event happens around the same time every year, ill book it down for next season. I have 11 weeks of VC per year.

We would really enjoy having you out here with us, but if you cannot make it, we'll just have to make it work next time. We typically do this event twice a year. Once in the fall, and once in the spring. The timeframe is normally pretty close to the same every time. However, it does depend on the tides. So once that is factored in, we start planning on the actual weekend.

If there is anything we, or i, can do to assist in helping you get out here, please let us know.

So far Ziggy is also planning to make the run to the event from Ontario. I haven't buggied WW in quite a few years. I think the last time was when Glen and I and a few others enjoyed the PVC buggy with folding "pop up" ironing board seat. That had to be sometime mid 90's?

I'm trying to decide if I can do the 11 hr drive - if I can convince another buddy to do the thursday run there to meet up with gang.

It certainly seems to me like the turnout is gonna double from last year. More and more people seem to be joining in. Our group from Mass/NH will almost triple from last fall. Can't wait to get back down there:thumbup:

i always wondered what happened to that guy with the PVC buggy. i think the year was 97 when we saw it.
it makes me very proud to see the event grow along with new people and faces.

it would really be great the see you. i know how it is to drive long hours to buggy
but i just thiink whats at the end of the long road. good buggying and most of all GOOD PEOPLE. if you make the trip i,ll buy you more than just a few drinks. we need to talk and go over old times. i really miss my buggy family and the fun times we have.

a week long event in oct???? sounds good to me.
my old body can only take about 3 days of buggying and then i need a day of rest.
but a week long event sound great with me. lets keep an open mind on that and maybe take a pole to see who can do a whole week in oct.
