dylanj423 - 21-5-2008 at 08:12 PM

Another good transaction with powerzone. John went out of his way to get the kite to me. Appreciate it. Now how about some wind??

Primordial Wind - 21-5-2008 at 10:29 PM

I received the 4 M BEGO from NorthWestKiter as advertised, almost brand new. Great guy.

tridude - 27-5-2008 at 08:58 AM

Furbowski and Strasher--Transaction with Furb was very smooth and timely considering he's halfway around the world (Hong Kong). This guy has skillz with ripstop but isnt leading on. He knows his stuff and is a serious pilot. Great communication and would/will def do biz in the future. Deal with Thrash took lees than 72 hrs, coast to coast. This is one passionate flyer. Buy or sell with confidence with both..............thanks guys!

Sthrasher38 - 28-5-2008 at 07:47 AM

Thanks tridude.for all your help also. You are also great to deal with.very fast transaction.

burritobandit - 9-6-2008 at 12:01 PM

Smooth transaction/fast shipping for 2 Blade IVs from Zloty. Thanks for the great deals!

Bladerunner - 10-6-2008 at 06:42 PM

Another happy customer of Dakitze
Just as everyone knows, great communication and a screamin' deal

Sthrasher38 - 11-6-2008 at 10:54 AM

What did ya get? The ace?

Bladerunner - 11-6-2008 at 01:19 PM

Nope,

Looks like I'll be flapping the gay flag rag ! It is the 4.8m NPW 5 in the rainbow pattern.

Great deal. At the price I was shocked to see it came with good quality handles and lines and the DVD :thumbup:
Of course Dlish was super helpful and patient as we all know !

It's the 1st DVD I have seen that features kite skating. The folks doing it are BEYOND awful at it though. They make me look like a pro' :smug:

Thanks burritobandit , it was a pleasure to deal with You. Nice and fast payment. Hope You'll enjoy my babes like I did.

Sthrasher38 - 12-6-2008 at 10:39 AM

Let me know how it goes. My son flies his a the walmart parking lot on his roller blades. Being able to fly off the bridles has some advantage. I made a short line set for Nabx. 12ft. He uses them also.

DAKITEZ - 23-6-2008 at 04:31 PM

wanted to add archkiter to the list. Super smooth transaction and fast shipping. Thank you.

archkiter - 23-6-2008 at 05:09 PM

& fast payment and good communication from dlish

Thanks!

fogg62 - 23-6-2008 at 09:55 PM

Iam new here. I met up with dlish89 last month. He brought out some kites but there wasn't much wind. I got a beamer III 3 from him a couple of weeks ago. It was pleasure to meet and deal with him. He provided me with a lot useful information on deciding which kite to get, kiting and bugging. I look forward to seeing him again for my next kite.:thumbup:

DAKITEZ - 23-6-2008 at 10:35 PM

Thanks fogg62 and welcome to the forum. I look forward to flying with you in some good winds in the near future.

Sthrasher38 - 26-6-2008 at 09:27 AM

Welcome to the forum fogg. Well it looks like we got another Nor-Cal flyer. Thats good. how many is that now? 8.

DAKITEZ - 26-6-2008 at 09:32 AM

I think its more around 14-15 now. i have sold a few kites since you have been broken :P
Thats just here in the Sac. area ... that doesn't include our bay area friends.

Sthrasher38 - 26-6-2008 at 09:39 AM

Cool we have enough for a club. You need to have a demo day! Call everyone up set up a meet and hand out shirts. I'll go I need a new shirt.:moon:

harddrive8 - 16-7-2008 at 08:05 PM

I just wanted to add to the many good experiences with DaVinch. He had very good communication, and was super fast about shipping. His descriptions are spot on.

SecondWind - 26-7-2008 at 07:32 AM

Thanks Harddrive! Pleasure dealing with you also

archkiter - 27-7-2008 at 01:14 PM

Happy trades and transactions with Sparx64 and Furbowski . :singing:

Thanks!

furbowski - 27-7-2008 at 01:25 PM

Yep, agree...

Archkiter has been a pleasure to deal with so far.

It's going to be awhile before I see the kite as i am in Canada and it is in a drop box in US, but the transaction so far has been smooth and I'll be very surprised if there are any disappointments. I'm looking forwards to checking out its float and low wind performance, and also keen to start modding away on the thing. I'll get back to the forum when I've put a few hours on the thing. (8m Ace, kite only, nice and cheap!)

I never posted here -- no need, really -- about my transaction with Tridude a couple of months ago, also very smooth and the kite was mint as advertised. He's had so many good endorsements here I was completely confident during the sale. The kite was a flexi B IV 6.5, and I bought it because I wanted a world-class kite to compare my pansh quiver against. It's beaut, and I'll be years learning how to get the best out of that kite, it's going to take that long for my skills to catch up!

Realkiteboarding.com

_____ - 28-7-2008 at 02:34 PM

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Very cool guys to deal with.

I ordered my 07' Tabu harness last Thursday night and got a call this morning telling me that they did not have my size in stock anymore :( :Enter sad face here:

I thought they would just refund me my money and send me on my way but not these guys.

I spoke with Dave who said he was going to upgrade me to the 08' Tabu at no extra charge. Ok cool I thought. Well he tells me they dont have that one in my size either.

Ok what gives I thought. So Dave said he is sending out a 08 Dakine Kingpin COMPLETE!!! for the same price I paid for the 07' $100. Harness, pad and bar!

That right there is awesome customer service!

Oh and this was my first purchase there. Its not like Im a regular customer dropping $1000's there every year.

f0rgiv3n - 28-7-2008 at 03:11 PM

daaaaaaaaaaang!!!! SCORE! :thumbup::thumbup:

Bladerunner - 28-7-2008 at 03:26 PM

YES,

Realkiteboarding have been around a long time and give fantastic service.

Their site is worth watching for all the demo / lesson gear they sell off cheap !

These folks should be put on the good seller list, FOrgiv3n !

kiteNH - 28-7-2008 at 03:31 PM

I've read some less favorable things about their business practices (lawsuits, etc). Kind of like the Big Box Store of kites too aren't they.

Stick local when you can! And when you can't go local stick with your local FOPKF (friend of powerkiteforum)!

_____ - 28-7-2008 at 04:18 PM

Well they are the only "local" kite shop we have around here..lol. Its about an hour drive. I havent been to their store down there but will be there in 2 weeks to check it out.

bigkahuna - 28-7-2008 at 04:19 PM

I've never bought anything from their on-line store, but visited their shop in Hatteras 3 or 4 times last summer. I wasn't impressed. The staff, from the manager on down, was a bunch of jerks, snobs and clearly didn't value my business. The other kiting shops, in contrast, couldn't have been nicer. Although their on-line business might be OK, my visits to the shop left me with a bad enough impression that I'd never spend a nickel there.

_____ - 28-7-2008 at 04:21 PM

Wow thats a complete 180 from what I experienced today :( Now I feel like a shmuk telling you guys how nice they were :puzzled:

DenisLaMenace - 28-7-2008 at 04:42 PM

they scraped a kiteboard to someone I know while trying to fix it last spring.

they offered a brand new Jimmy Lewis Model 3

not bad !

Bladerunner - 28-7-2008 at 08:32 PM

My only experience was a used 4.5 Bullet online. It was a good deal. Sorry to here about the staff having attitude.

dylanj423 - 29-7-2008 at 12:38 AM

did this thread get moved??? or is it just me... wasnt this the first thread in the for sale section?

nwsurfwakeskate - 29-7-2008 at 02:51 PM

michaelt - bought spleene Rip 34 from him and he shipped it 2day fed ex. board looks great thanks michaelt!

nwsurfwakeskate - 29-7-2008 at 02:52 PM

powerzone

close friend of mine:

nwsurfwakeskate - 29-7-2008 at 02:54 PM

domdino

bought his silverarrow, great guy. shipping took a little while but that's mainly because it was shipped across the country. I was very pleased with the kite and transaction in general!

_____ - 31-7-2008 at 07:57 AM

DAKITEZ - Bought handles and killers from him at a great price. Really took care of me. We used Paypal.

jrw32 - Bought a 5m Ace from him. I got a killer deal. Great guy to deal with also. We used Paypal.

Beamerbob - Bought a HQ Symphony from him. Got another good deal on a product from the forums here. I sent him a personal check so we could avoid the PP fees.

DenisLaMenace - 6-8-2008 at 04:53 PM

domdino again !

:thumbup::thumbup:

dylanj423 - 7-8-2008 at 12:37 PM

stevep just shipped me a kite that was in brand new shape. nice guy, owns a kiteshop in florida (dont think he does powerkites, though... i think he said something about being able to get them, maybe). Great kite, great pice, good guy.

Sorry if any of this info is incorrect.

harddrive8 - 7-8-2008 at 02:06 PM

More kudos to DaKitez. Bought some handles and lines from him. Super friendly guy & fast shipping.

kiteNH - 7-8-2008 at 02:20 PM

Gotta put DaVinch on this list again while its up here at the top. Just a top caliber guy to deal with and one of this forum's greatest assets.

Great kite for a great price and even a surprise when I opened the box!

I give him.............:thumbup::thumbup:

SecondWind - 8-8-2008 at 12:43 PM

Thanks kiteNH - hope you enjoy the kite! Thanks for a smoooth transaction

lunchbox - 9-8-2008 at 10:18 AM

Another one to DaVinch....

I've now purchased/traded about 5 or 6 kites with him...kites were delivered quickly and if there was a delay on the distribution end (out of his control), he would always provide me with updates.

One of the most honest and likeable guys I've ever met!

He'll definitely keep getting my business!

Thanks Joe!

bloah - 11-8-2008 at 05:12 AM

cheers to domdino, 5 starts +. :)

macboy - 13-8-2008 at 02:17 PM

Props to Domdino, BigKahuna, Bladerunner, Pablo, USA_Eli_A and Powerzone - all great people to deal with!

dylanj423 - 17-8-2008 at 08:06 AM

lunchbox is a top-notch seller. Very detailed information on the kite, and obviously wanted to make sure I was happy with the purchase... I am. Thanks lunchbox.

lunchbox - 17-8-2008 at 08:58 AM

Thanks for the nice comments Dylan...Glad to hear you're enjoying the kite!

SecondWind - 17-8-2008 at 04:27 PM

Yup, same here - Lunchbox is great to deal with

Thanks macboy, the pleasure was mutual! All the best.

dgkid78 - 17-8-2008 at 05:51 PM

ohh i completly forgot to thank Angus (Coastal wind Sports) for speedy delivery on my Depower lines

harddrive8 - 25-8-2008 at 08:29 PM

Just wanted to mention flexiblade. He had quick payment and would recommend to anybody on the forum.

furbowski - 26-8-2008 at 07:22 PM

finally got my CF 3.2 unboxed and flown today, it was in good shape, came with lines, handles, the original bag (trashed), a new bag (good enough for the job!), and killers. The kite flies fine, I need to tune it a bit yet... Lunchbox was the man I got it from, he's a good one to deal with!

lunchbox - 26-8-2008 at 10:15 PM

Thanks for the nice comments Furb...It was a pleasure dealing with you as well!

furbowski - 26-8-2008 at 10:53 PM

you leaned over backwards for me, bro! A pleasure from my end as well... The winds were 6-12 mph today and gusty, not the best for seeing how the kite would do, but it's gonna be good when powered up!

Bladerunner - 4-9-2008 at 10:37 AM

I just want to give Prop's to Ripsessionkites.

Rip' has recently brought in a few brands that aren't currently available to us. Opening some interesting avenues hot on the heals of the Europians. He is kind enough to share and eager for feedback so he can get us the ones that work for us and hopefully give constructive feedback to the ones that don't.

I have just recently gotten my hands on many of these new brands and can say MOST are top notch and do what they are designed to do VERY WELL :thumbup:

Rip's knowledge and communication skills are right up there. Interested in new brands from Europe ? Talk it over with Rip' and He will serve you well.

"Jason" is cool to deal with.

thank you for the support. i follow Euro Trends, because of their racing scene. if anything new comes out, i try to get them here NOT to sell, but you allow my fellow kiters to try something they might not get their hands on otherwise. I want to service the kitebuggy / ground boarding community as much as possible.

Still working on getting more on the way, like the Gin Tonkawa has been out, and been seen on the east coast of canada, but we need one for the westcoast, and the USA. also the rumor of the PL Racekite is another one i'm after, but i think the distributors of PL will get that first.

dunno if anyone wants Kitebuggy Magazines, but i could pass them along when they arrive. however they are in german.

BeamerBob - 29-9-2008 at 05:19 PM

Kudos to Kitemaker4 for helping me with custom rail covers for my Flexi Buggy. She offered to make them for me just upon seeing my need, charged a very fair price and the stitching work is what I would expect on the highest quality kite. Top notch work from a top notch person. They came in the mail just about 5 days after we started talking about them. Thanks for everything Susan (npw goddess) hehe

EDIT: She even put the cable ties in there for me. Really a nice touch.

silvereaglekiter - 29-9-2008 at 06:30 PM

:bigok: I'll seckond that the craftsmanship of her kites is equal to the "commercial" kites. Thanks again Susan

SecondWind - 29-9-2008 at 07:59 PM

One more for Susan - my 7.1m NPW9 is really well made

BeamerBob - 8-10-2008 at 04:50 AM

Add one here for Dakitez as well. Nice trade that Dino was very unselfish on. Very trusting as well. Just the type guy you enjoy dealing with.

He seems to go out of his way to make people happy. I noticed on ebay the other day that he has a 100% rating with over 220 feedbacks. That is tough to make EVERYONE happy with their purchase.

BeamerBob - 8-10-2008 at 04:57 AM

I repeatedly deal with Angus (Acampbell) at Coastal Wind Sports. He has become as much a friend as my dealer. He stays on top of wayward orders, keeps the communication flowing, and takes care of you after the sale every time. JIBE was a huge amount of fun and he did that to benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center as a way of thanks and to give back for some of the fun he is blessed to have on the beaches of Jekyll Island he shares with the sea turtles. Oh and it was loads of fun to be on the beach with lots of our kites in the sky. He gets a 100% rating as well.

SUPER SMOOTH trade, A1 kite, good service for extra FDS kit again.

harddrive8 - 24-10-2008 at 09:16 PM

I would like to add BeamerBob to the list. I bought his Blade IV 6.5m kite, and he really went out of his way to make sure the kite was in the best shape possible. He is super easy to get along with and makes sure the other person in the deal is happy. I would highly recommend him for any trades and would be more than happy to work with him again!

Thanks for that Joe. I don't like doing a deal unless my relationship with the other person is at least as good as before the sale. Every deal should make both sides more willing to deal (and fly) together. You were the perfect buying side of our deal as well. Lots of snags and yet you had a smile the whole time. Thanks.

kiteNH - 25-10-2008 at 11:01 AM

SecondWind..........a regular on the good trader thread is back on the top (or bottom) of the list! Fast shipping, great correspondence and a pleasure to deal with.

(Go buy his Blade IV and you'll probably be flying it by next weekend).

heliboy50 - 15-11-2008 at 03:33 AM

Angus Campbell (acampbell)

indigo_wolf - 21-1-2009 at 01:18 AM

Mea Culpa.... I have been remiss in passing along huzzahs to a couple of good traders.

Old news, but Angus Campbell is a prince among power kiters.

Kite (Sting 1.2) arrived in NIB condition. The manual snuck off, so Angus made color copies of it. He also snuck a stake into the outer pocket of the Sting pack.

Many thanks, Angus.

ATB,
Sam

Brad Rex (BRex)

indigo_wolf - 21-1-2009 at 01:25 AM

Bought a Sting 1.7 from Brad. It was delivered quickly even though Brad was in the midst of a buggy build :o  The kite was still crisp and smelled of that new kite perfume.

Stake, original manual, and a sheet or two of Flexi stickers (in case I feel like adding some class to the vehicles of the local constabulary :wee: ... err umm... ok, maybe not).

Thanks again.

ATB,
Sam
