Morrie Williams - 22-5-2012 at 06:42 PM

There's plenty of space for a tent trailer at Phil's buggy camp.

MDK - 22-5-2012 at 08:42 PM

Thanks! I went back through the posts and found your map, I missed that before sorry,

csa_deadon - 23-5-2012 at 02:52 AM

He was in Spokane last night. It's about a 7 hour drive to Sunset Beach.

We'll see you Friday afternoon!

jellis - 24-5-2012 at 05:08 PM

Mile post three at Sunset has the widest beach area. Looks like the best spot for the event. Sun is out and the wind is up.

sand flea - 24-5-2012 at 05:44 PM

I think that is a great idea, maybe we should all meet at Mile Post 3.
It seems like there is so much more car traffic at the earlier mile posts.

I'll be on the beach around 8:00am the Saturday the 26th
Be safe everybody, I look forward to seeing you all
Chris

kiteboyza - 24-5-2012 at 07:26 PM

Im here Ken, room 217 as the receptionist would not give me yours. Jon boy, you got my tube, I'll see you at 10am at your shop for a quick repair please.

jellis - 24-5-2012 at 07:54 PM

So what hotel are you in kiteboyza? I got tires on rims ready to go but no extra tubes. Hardware store on hwy 101east side of Seaside has them. I will gladly change it for you, or you can use the rims and tire that is ready to go.

kiteboyza - 25-5-2012 at 04:30 PM

oh what a day. clean winds, started with 5m kites and ended up on 10m. Nice onshore and plenty of sun...sawweeeeeeet! Oh the old guys came down to, Ken 3, Sunset Jim, Jellis and me

You didn't really think you could just pop up a pic of a new closed cell kite offering and not say anything about it, did you? Gonna start a new thread JUST to pressure you into a report ; )

kiteboyza - 27-5-2012 at 08:57 PM

report is good, it's luff proof, Eli, Sean, Morrie, Gordy and myself couldnt luff it...lol

doddg - 28-5-2012 at 04:09 AM

on my way!

MDK - 29-5-2012 at 11:50 AM

my wife broke her foot Saturday but she still wants to come with me to Oregon, I'm thinking about bringing my four wheeler for her to get around on, are four wheelers allowed on the beach? Any special requirements/permits? + we will be staying in a motel so we won’t need the space for the tent camper.

jellis - 29-5-2012 at 01:01 PM

Sorry mdk off road unlicensed motorized vehiclesare not allowed on the beaches.

bigkid - 30-5-2012 at 09:47 AM

There should be room, camp is pretty empty as of lastnight.

bigkid - 1-6-2012 at 09:11 AM

May I ask who are you talking about?

bigkid - 4-6-2012 at 01:52 AM

Saturday was nice. buggied for a while, took the blokart for a few rides and a few newbies took it out also. And ended the day with a pink sunset, beer and pizza.
Sunday was so much better, got sunburned, blew out the bearings in the back tire of the MG. As the day progressed, the wind increased. Great people, Great wind, Great beach, Great time.

Can't wait for this fall...:wee: See ya then.

kiteboyza - 4-6-2012 at 06:56 AM

Sorry to have missed you, was going to return the banner pole you gave me at NABX last year. Seems someone folded it in half and gave it to me to have. At least the piece of rebar was still usable, :smug: guess I'll catch up with you next time.:P

kiteboyza - 4-6-2012 at 12:54 PM

Septemeber it is, the first weekend of SOBB

MDK - 4-6-2012 at 01:57 PM

my wife and I had a great time! met lots of great people, and thanks to those who endured all my newbie questions :)

bigkid - 4-6-2012 at 08:52 PM

MDK,
saw the Playa bug flying around and was thinking about askin for a ride, but never made it over to ask. Maybe next time, maybe Alvord. Tell your wife I have those in different colors, I think she looked great in the orange one, yep even the lime green, it accents her eyes.

Was good to see all of the last weekend buggiers, would be really helpful to have name tags with everyones forum name with there real name. Probably wont remember anyway, hahahahahahahahaha

Most of all was very happy the wifes house made it off the beach.

sunset-Jim - 5-6-2012 at 07:47 AM

I have to give a big thanks to all that came over and helped make the first Springtime SOBB a great and memorable time. Of course how mother nature likes to show who's boss, (even though we did have some pretty decent winds) today is forecasting 15 mph west winds gusting to 20. We missed it by just THAT much :) Just may have to have my lunch on the fly.

@ Jeff

"saw the Playa bug flying around and was thinking about askin for a ride, but never made it over to ask. Maybe next time, maybe Alvord."

Jeff, if you can fit in the seat (the seat is really narrow :) )your more than welcome, anytime.

"Tell your wife I have those in different colors, I think she looked great in the orange one, yep even the lime green, it accents her eyes."

you noticed that too :)

"Was good to see all of the last weekend buggiers, would be really helpful to have name tags with everyones forum name with there real name."

I agree :)

"Most of all was very happy the wifes house made it off the beach. "

I thought about this after I left later that night, glad you made it out okay!
