Very cool video. Thanks for taking the time to put that together. It's nice for the people who couldn't make it and probably even better for the ones that did.

You will be here next year Sean. Even if Errol has to detour and kidnap you!

Speaking of runaway items, I got a good video of you Mark running the 100 yard dash after that minion that got loose

It was entertaining seeing one of the pieces that I caught on camera and used in my vid from you're point of view Mark. The scene right at the rise of sand-magedon 12:45-13:10 you can see me in the background deploying the kite-killers which is also 1:06-1:21 of my Golden Isles video... I always think that kind of stuff is fun.

Mark - that is some nice footage. The place, and most importantly, the people look great. Thinking of making the trek next May. I also really liked the Trip Through the Pointy Bits video.

It felt exactly like Jurassic Park back in those dense woods. I really wanted to see the amphitheater. Will be one of my first stops next year.

Hey I totally forgot about that - it was heading for the ocean.

I also forgot about my buggy ejection that wasn't on video - but that did not involve a kite and was off the beach so it doesn't count as an official OBE but it was spectacularly stupid.

Like all the buggy gatherings i go to - the gang is always top notch and that's a big part of the event. Jekyll is also an easy sell for those thinking of bringing a partner, spouse, family etc with so many other non kiting activities to do and enjoy.

and I'm not paid to promote Jekyll either

I really liked Errol's porch swing jump.

Demoknight - 29-5-2015 at 12:03 PM

Haha, I did a ton of them when the wind whipped up to the 20-25mph side shore stuff. It was high wind, but still smooth. That was the day before Sandmageddon. Several of us got some really huge jumps in that day. The porch swing just started as me trying to see how low I could get my butt to the ground without touching and still pop back up to my feet. They are really fun to do when the wind is right and you don't feel like testing your ankle strength on the high flying stuff.

Excellent footage, and for that matter, buttage, leggage, and headage....

Can't wait for the next installments in the video JIBE montage. Another 11 months and we'll be back!
Holly is already in the planning stages.

markite - 30-5-2015 at 04:22 PM

Yes Ted we gotta get back because I missed getting you and Holly in video other than a second or two - and we didn't have as much down time relaxing and catching up over a beer.
We are contemplating whether we could do 2 weeks as well next year.

soliver - 6-7-2015 at 04:48 PM

I wanna see some video footage from you, Jason!!!!

3shot - 11-7-2015 at 11:43 AM

Yeah... me too Spencer. Lol
I've got to get to editing. Been wide open at work since jibe... :embarrased:

So I think I got enough footage at the picnic to make a full vid of that as well. Oh my what a fun day that was. Sure am missing all the fine people at JIBE.

soliver - 11-7-2015 at 03:49 PM

I figured you must be busy, ... no worries!

Demoknight - 12-8-2015 at 07:04 AM

I didn't get nearly as much video this year as I did the previous year. I tried mounting my camera on my forks and most of my video is just a muddy mess after a minute or two of power slides. I think I will explore a rear axle mount for the future and get the camera up high to stay out of the rooster tails.

I'm taking my laptop to the OBX this coming week. I should get some much needed edit time in the evenings.;)
