It will match your PL Pepper nicely  I made a stretch kit for my bug to move the wheels further back. So hopefully reduce the sideslip when pushin the limit.I made it so I can take it out.

silvereaglekiter - 19-9-2008 at 08:00 PM

sweet :thumbup:Can cares more beer()?| I meant) gear to :lol::lol:

WELDNGOD - 19-9-2008 at 08:56 PM

yeah buddy! I already thought of that. And I can use it as a tandem seat too! I'll have to make a pad for it that I can keep in my kitebag when not in use. I extended the 2 inch on the rear axle mounts another 5 inches, so even when I remove the extension ,I'm still 5 inches further forward than before. Since I'm gonna be flyin a Pansh SPRINT 5M ,I need to hold more power down. It may come down to adding weight but hopefully not! I'll let ya know how the Pansh flies tomorrow in 15-25. It's REALLY BRIGHT NEON GREEN and l-o-n-g, it's like 15 ft long!

clintopher - 20-9-2008 at 08:13 PM

Well I"m back for a day. Been gone with work the past two weeks and I'm leaving again on Monday. I can't wait to spend more than 24 hours in my house.

Bug looks good Donny. That sucks about the beach.

_____ - 1-10-2008 at 01:54 PM

Anyone meeting up saturday? Im going to grab some OT in the morning but will be free after that :D

Havent had a kite out in about a month and I miss it :(

ragden - 1-10-2008 at 02:54 PM

I didnt think the weather looked favorable enough for the three hour drive to get down there... Did I miss read the weather report? Guess i'll need to go take another look...

silvereaglekiter - 1-10-2008 at 03:13 PM

Im dying to fly my wings I'll be watching the wends close to
Hay Donny how is the beach looking????

clintopher - 1-10-2008 at 04:01 PM

I'm hoping the wind is crap on Sat and great on Sun. Reason being I want to hang with you guys but I'm going to Richmond on Sat. Either way, right now the wind isn't looking favorable but the forecast is rarely correct so here's to keeping fingers crossed.

SilverEagle,
How are those handles working out. I've got a new to me kite but I don't have any handles...was thinking about making some cus funds are kinda tight right now.

Clint

silvereaglekiter - 1-10-2008 at 04:18 PM

they are ok I haven't really put them through the test yet on the nasa wings but I started making a second pair to match the red/yellow 5M Susan made me :D

you looking to make handles for the 10m Rage:?:

WELDNGOD - 1-10-2008 at 05:15 PM

w'sup dudes? I'm not sure how the beach is,last time I saw it ,the water was all the way up to the dune grass ,2 hrs. after low tide.
That was before the nor'easter too, so no tellin the amount of damage done .Wish I had a webcam at that place hmmmm...... :ninja:
Anyway, I got a new kite to try ( I'll be a ^$@$ in some folks eyes ,but I couldn't resist another cheap kite from pansh) ,it's the brightest green you have ever seen without a weldn mosheen! Really bring sunglasses  or ya might get flashburn:lol: Don't know what I'm gonna do yet but I also got my new SANDBOARD finished, and I am dyin to test drive it.

0930081824.jpg - 190kB

ragden - 1-10-2008 at 05:38 PM

So... if there is no beach left, is there an alternate location? I'm not driving three hours to find no beach left to kite on... And a sandboard? Looks sweet... wonder how it'll ride...

clintopher - 1-10-2008 at 05:40 PM

Yup, I need some handles for the Jojo. I've got a lineset I can use, it's a little light but I won't be putting a kite that big through the ringer until we become a little more aquainted.

Board looks good Donny. Can't wait to see it.

Clint

_____ - 3-10-2008 at 09:19 AM

How the bug comin Donny? You need me to get anything yet?

silvereaglekiter - 9-10-2008 at 03:10 PM

Looking at wend & tide forecasts for this Saturday
:singing: wends east 13-15 mph :wee:
:singing: low tide at 1.06 PM :wee:

I hope to get their in time:bouncing:

clintopher - 9-10-2008 at 04:47 PM

Which forecast are you looking at? Two Noah models I look at and another all have it coming from the NE and 15 or better. I don't trust forecasts too much, especially more than a day out, but it's not very often they all agree and the one's I look at all do. I've got my fingers crossed.

silvereaglekiter - 9-10-2008 at 05:54 PM

windmapper for the wind. It is ok for midterm planning

silvereaglekiter - 10-10-2008 at 03:02 PM

:wee:I jest had a nice little session At FFF (Farm fresh field):wee:
I topped out at 16 Mph in 9Mph wend  with all the bumps, ruts, & weed knots It felt like I was sitting in a weedeater
Was putting on a bit of a show at times to. lots of ooooos & aaaaas from kids and parents coming out of the store:rolleyes:

WELDNGOD - 13-10-2008 at 03:25 PM

Nick , it was nice havin ya out at the beach Sat.. Too bad ya got there on the back half of incoming tide. I was sore ,but I went back out Sun. , the wind was about what it was Sat. ENE at 15-20. Not so much 20+, but the sprint was still a beast.Ya missed me using my face for a 3rd wheel, and of course there had to be some people there. I hope they did not have a camera,I'd hate to see myself on Youtube plowin' the beach w/ my face.
Nick anytime you wanna use one of my smaller kites to buggy with ,just let me know . You are more than welcome to use any of my gear. I got that 2.5 Rage and it 's a good puller in15-20. I also got a couple of small Pansh Legends and Aces. Just cause it's too strong for you PL doesn't mean you can't buggy Bro'.
I would like to try out your PL Pepper sometime in the buggy , just to see how it is. Does your sis have any more pics of me buggyin w/ the Sprint? I have none yet.Gotta get a new camera that can endure the beach.
Oh yeah, where did you get that speedo at? I would love to know how fast I'm going.

peace WG

clintopher - 13-10-2008 at 03:47 PM

How's the beach looking these days? Still torn up?

silvereaglekiter - 13-10-2008 at 04:04 PM

I uploaded all the pics Sam took hear Mom & Sam are already talking about going back :smug:

The bike spedo came from wal-mart

WELDNGOD - 13-10-2008 at 04:50 PM

Clint ol' bud, The beach came out pretty good after all. You missed a great 2 days dude. We coulda put ya in a buggy w/ a small kite but maybe next time.
Nick , tell Sam thanks for the pics. It is hard to get my wife to stop fishing long enough to shoot pics and she doesn't need to be walking around that much anyhow.(just going out and back is hard enough on her) I thought I was gonna have to pull her off the beach Sat. , cause those stabbin pains just came out of nowhere right when it was time to leave.

_____ - 20-10-2008 at 10:37 AM

Did any of you guys fly this weekend? I was on call and unable to make it. I was down at the oceanfront Sat. and really wanted to break out the Ace and get some big jumps in :(

silvereaglekiter - 20-10-2008 at 04:39 PM

I made it to wildwood..... blew out some bridle lines on my profoil
With 20-30 mph wends 2m Beamer was the kite of the day.
Owell you win some you lose some!

ragden - 20-10-2008 at 08:18 PM

Even the 2m was a bit much. Kite of choice for that day... was the 1.5m. Might have to get one of those....

WELDNGOD - 2-11-2008 at 04:23 PM

kick a$$ day today, onshore winds at 15- 25+ENE which is primo for that spot. Flew the sprint all day, now I'm spent. Wind was too much fun to mess w/ AOA , so I still haven't messed w/it......yet! I'm gonna have to start wearing a harness and strop, I feel like I got popeye forearms right now( but they are weak and rubbery):bouncy:

clintopher - 2-11-2008 at 05:00 PM

I thought about you today...figured you'd be out buggying. I stayed on my side of the water today and got some kitesurfing in. I still suck at it but it's a blast none the less.

We're gonna have to get together one of these weekends...we're next on the list for the Wolkenstuermer.

Clint

_____ - 2-11-2008 at 05:27 PM

Ive been wondering what weekend we all will meet up again :)

My ATB should be here this week so I hope we mught have some good winds next sunday!

WELDNGOD - 2-11-2008 at 05:58 PM

look for 10 -20 NE or ENE . That will be optimum, otherwise we will have to static fly. But it 's all fun!:wee:

WELDNGOD - 2-11-2008 at 06:04 PM

Jason ,I'm thinking if the winds are around 15 your beamer would be best to start with. Don't be real quick to pull that ace out till you figure out everything , however if the wind was say 10 then maybe that ace would get you going. I have used the old ladys pink sting to kgb in 25-30. ,fun as hell! We'll have a meet up soon ! u2u me w / details!

_____ - 2-11-2008 at 06:33 PM

Will do sir! :tumble:

WELDNGOD - 3-11-2008 at 04:35 AM

Clint, send me a u2u when it arrives, so we can figure out what ,when, where. Is that a buggy kite? We are supposed to get the firewall soon also, aren't we?

clintopher - 4-11-2008 at 05:05 PM

CSA deadon posted that it's on it's way to you so let me know when you get it. I'm thinking the best way to go about it is you hang on to it for a week or two and then we'll meet up when the wind is good. Then I'll hang on to it for a week or two and send it on to the next destination. Sound good?

Clint

WELDNGOD - 4-11-2008 at 05:16 PM

yeah , tryin to get the two of us,the wind and the tides to all come together at the same time is like hittin the megamillions.

clintopher - 6-11-2008 at 03:36 AM

If one of us hit the Megamillions I'm thinking a meeting place could be arranged. Let's do that.

WELDNGOD - 6-11-2008 at 02:36 PM

I'd buy a dry lake! And build a kiter bar on the edge!

The kite came today, but I wasn't here to sign for it:mad:\
The wife will try and listen out for it tommorow.
I'd like to fly this wknd. ,if I don't have to work. Won't know till tommorow though.

clintopher - 6-11-2008 at 04:27 PM

I'm busy on Saturday but Sunday might work out. Keep me posted.

silvereaglekiter - 23-12-2008 at 07:41 AM

!!MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Il be at First Landing on the dec 24 by noon, ish wends south 20's.

ragden - 23-12-2008 at 07:45 AM

Where is that? I might be kiting in DC this weekend. Might drive out somewhere, if winds and tides are right. Though, I am thinking about just saving my money and staying local...

silvereaglekiter - 23-12-2008 at 07:58 AM

its in Va beach. What WoW server are you NOT on right now im on mannroth ? WoLK rocks curently a 73 Blood Elve Fire/Frost Mage :singing:

ragden - 23-12-2008 at 08:01 AM

I'm on Sargeras primarily. 80 gnome warlock. Used to play on Detheroc, but transferred back to Sargeras.
I'll look up driving directions for that beach just to see how long it would take to get there. Is it a south facing beach, to take advantage of those south winds?

edit: Oh wait, you are going today.. darnit, I'm at work.. Cant make it... Have fun dude!

silvereaglekiter - 23-12-2008 at 08:14 AM

Its a north beach so south wend will be offshore not Ideal but Il work with what Mother nature gives me. :dunno:
Server maintenance sucks dont,it

ragden - 23-12-2008 at 10:08 AM

I'm almost always coming home from work well after server maintenance is complete. Not typically an issue for me. Server based lag... whole different story.

You going to be going back out to that beach this weekend? What are the tides like? Gonna look up wind predictions for the weekend... Trying to figure out what I'm doing this weekend..

Need to fly!

silvereaglekiter - 23-12-2008 at 12:45 PM

after you talking about WoW a guy at my new job played & got me in his Guild. Not sure whats up for this weekend il keep a watch on the elements :D

ragden - 23-12-2008 at 01:02 PM

Sounds good. Let me know.

WELDNGOD - 23-12-2008 at 06:23 PM

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Sorry Nick, gotta work bro'.I'm hopin for wind this wknd. Been too busy savin the navys ass ,one weld at a time. Welded 16 joints of 6 inch aluminum pipe for main engine cooling, last week alone. And 4 are, in place ,mirror joints w/ lots of interference. Not one defect or leak . So there has been no time to fly! I gotta go fly!!!!!
Anyway , everyone have a great holiday WG

SamN - 5-1-2010 at 07:49 PM

I spent a lot of time at factory point(HAmpton) this summer.Only saw one kiteboarder. After the beach replinishment there should be some room to cruise. I'm looking forward to the spring.

WELDNGOD - 5-1-2010 at 08:10 PM

there are only 3 other regular/ irregular kiters out there that I know of. I'm the only land traction freak out of the lot.

SamN - 6-1-2010 at 06:27 AM

WG- where do you sail on the Peninsula?

WELDNGOD - 9-1-2010 at 08:31 PM

grandveiw island/messick point

WELDNGOD - 2-2-2010 at 06:26 PM

And I guess I'm the lone kiter again...... Nick ,where ya at? Clint? well ,I know you got your hands more than full right now w/ new baby soon and all. Oh well ,I got my neighborhood friend ,who I have been teaching how to fly and ride. we have been working on the 2 man 2kites 2 buggies speed thing. more to come on that later.

WG , off to play MW2 ,see ya on the battlefield. I'l be the one w/ the dual .44 magnums in yo face. And a LMG for those "reach out and touch someone" moments.

silvereaglekiter - 2-2-2010 at 07:21 PM

I'm hear. Moved to Hopewell started a new job. :bigok: Still flying when I can. found some new spots to fly ;) none as good as your beach though. I Hope to hit the snow Saturday. WildWood Is on the books for sure :singing:

WELDNGOD - 2-2-2010 at 07:36 PM

Good to hear from ya Nick,Hope ya make WW. The missus and I will be there if all goes according to plan. get up w/ me sometime when we got winds bro'.

silvereaglekiter - 2-2-2010 at 07:47 PM

silvereaglekiter - 5-6-2010 at 12:51 PM

welcome to the forum. I,m in Hopewell.
I try to fly at Dorey park do you have a good spot I haven,t found yet?

WELDNGOD - 12-6-2010 at 04:17 AM

Will be at beach on sunday,Scott(flyguy) is probably gonna meet us out there, hope the onshore flow strarts tomorrow. If it can get hot inland w/ no prevailing wind ,we just might see the seabreeze kick in at about 10-12 mph

J Beast - 12-6-2010 at 06:40 AM

I have been looking....im thinking down at bells island...next time im working down there i will check it out...i work for the railroad, and we are always on the bridge right beside the open feild down there....

SamN - 14-6-2010 at 01:48 PM

Anyone in the area? Meet up at beach.
WG

Todd - 15-6-2010 at 08:51 AM

Have fun man, wish I could be there!

clintopher - 15-6-2010 at 07:31 PM

Wish I could have gone out today...Mom's in town meeting her 1st Grandson. Winds supposed to be mid teens from the SE tomorrow at VA Beach. Gonna have to skip out on that one too.

WELDNGOD - 15-6-2010 at 08:07 PM

It was an epic day , east 10 -15 then as the tide went out it went east 15-20 and steady . I was flyin hotwired today ,well up until my rear tire passed me by.
There was alot of eel grass and sponges on the beach though. Didn't slow those heavy Kendas down none. I'm pretty sure i broke my personal best top speed today just before the wheel came off between 40-50 mph. I have got to get a gps so I can know my speed.
I didn't wreck ,just was plowing the beach w/ the axle. I could have reached out and touched the wheel as it passed by, but I was flying on handles w/ hotwire rig. First thing I had to do was pop the QR QUIK! I'm glad I spent the extra dough on the good wichard and holt allen block, money well spent. Disaster averted:thumbup:

@ Clint, get yo azz out to the beach yo. Lets fish and fly!

WG

WELDNGOD - 19-6-2010 at 04:21 AM

headin out again today, looking for onshore flow.

wannabekiter - 19-6-2010 at 10:14 PM

i was actually in va beach yesterday but didn't have anything with me

WELDNGOD - 20-6-2010 at 05:38 AM

I always have more gear than I need with me

WELDNGOD - 2-7-2010 at 05:33 PM

ATTENTION: I am going to the beach tomorrow and taking the land board w/ intents of getting ticketed, for the sole purpose of getting a court to make a ruling.(pretty hard since there is no law against that I can find. And I will have a copy of the rules of the park from their own website. And they clearly state that there are "no MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED." :frog::ninja::borg: I wonder what section of code he will pull outta his butt to write the ticket.
I may print up the entire "code of VA" and give it to him so he can "bone up" on it..:spin:

WG

ANYONE WANNA JOIN IN THE FUN?

WELDNGOD - 2-7-2010 at 05:36 PM

AND IF THERE IS NO WIND , I'LL KICK IT UP AND DOWN THE BEACH LIKE A SKATEBOARD. I will also take the "sandboard "which has "no wheels":ninja: Now what dumba$$:piggy: :frog:

silvereaglekiter - 2-7-2010 at 06:47 PM

??? so by their intrp. are wagons for fishing gear banned to ???
cause we usually bring lots of gear

WELDNGOD - 2-7-2010 at 07:41 PM

their words "that is a cart(pointing at fishing cart) ,that is a wind powered vehicle(pointing at kite buggy).

silvereaglekiter - 2-7-2010 at 08:00 PM

lets see can we steer a "cart" with our feet ?:wink2:

WELDNGOD - 2-7-2010 at 08:17 PM

I told him "I pulled it out here by a rope, with all that stuff on it ,(kitebag, canopy, cooler ,folding camp chairs, etc.)that makes it a wagon"

WELDNGOD - 8-8-2010 at 04:00 PM

Went to the "spot " today, with a light breeze onshore. Flew my 8.6 Reactor w/ the landboard. As soon as I rolled up the kite , two dudes carryin several kites and a landboard showed up. WOW! I thought I was the only one , now I got company.:cool2: I told them about the PKF , and my username. They said they had seen my yellow buggy out there before. We BS'd for a few then I left . Hopefully they will show up here , so I can hook up w/ em someday when there are primo conditions. Nothing like having some kiter friends to ride with.

silvereaglekiter - 8-8-2010 at 04:29 PM

wow :eekdrull::bigok: glad you have some backup again. wish I could of made it down more this year :(

WELDNGOD - 8-8-2010 at 04:34 PM

_____ - 5-9-2010 at 09:41 AM

After walking out on my balcony and feeling the wind, I believe with fall coming, Im going to have to buy some kites again :)

WELDNGOD - 5-9-2010 at 02:47 PM

wsup jason? you know you don't have to have a kite to come fly bro, I got plenty, and I don't mind sharin'.

WELDNGOD - 5-9-2010 at 06:46 PM

wow, one day you think you are the only one. And the next, you find out someone who you saw at the beach w/ a landboard and kite. Had a decent day ,the wind was outta the N at first but then it changed to E onshore! whodat757 was there for a while, too bad ya couldn't stay longer cause true to form ,the wind started pickin up. I tore that beach up! Park and ride w/ the 8.6 reactorII! But then the tide was comin in hard so we split while there was still some beach.

whodat757, anytime ya wanna go fly let me know. U2U me ,I'll give ya my cell#.

At your MOMS house JONESEY!

_____ - 21-2-2011 at 01:01 PM

Wassup fellow locals?

WELDNGOD - 21-2-2011 at 06:58 PM

The Hampton ,Va location is off limits to wheeled vehicles of any kind due to the Northeastern beach tiger beetle. No joke! Have to make road trips to ride now....

doublespeed360 - 21-2-2011 at 07:57 PM

that to bad ,now i'm pissed off at the beetles,we are so bless up here in the boston area.

_____ - 3-3-2011 at 08:28 PM

Any of the south east fliers have a decent field to fly in now? Im trying to use any connections I have to get us into a farmers field where we could fly and ride.
