Beach is open for sunbathers but illegal for kiting until september/october.
I hope Bella is doing well in doggy heaven.RedSky - 11-5-2023 at 08:12 PM

I would fly out there just to join you for the fantastic barbeque, but did I just see fried banana :puzzled:
This is why I voted for Brexit. When the banana frying started, I knew it was the beginning of the end.
Great video as always Juan. Throwing a BBQ into the mix is an instant 3 thumbs up from me. jantie - 20-8-2023 at 02:30 AM
3 thumbs up for the BBQ, same here!!Juan - 20-8-2023 at 10:14 AM
I didn t try Franks bananas, because there was no meat in it.:D
But the others liked it. Frank prepared it with coconut, almonds, vanilla ice and amaretto... Juan - 21-8-2023 at 10:07 PM
So Juan,,, since you fly these kites all the time could you share your opinion of them? Do you prefer one over another? Are there particular flight
characteristics in some models that you like or dislike? Are some better upwind or downwind? Perhaps some have different build quality? I generally
fly race kites on handles over here but when the wind is nuclear and gusty I put up a tube. Are some easier to get a hold of online than others since
there are not really any dealers here in the states. Thanks for the help Juan - 22-8-2023 at 06:47 AM
The R1V4 is maybe the best kite for buggy racing at the moment. Its easy to handle, very stable in gusty wind and very fast. Upwind performance is
good, downwind is excellent!
The Boom is more tricky. To find the right trim is not easy and it takes some time learning how to fly it stable and fast. It doesnt forgive the
pilots mistakes. But if you can handle it, its a weapon! Upwind and downwind performance is both very good and the acceleration is outstanding. But in
very gusty winds, this kite is a challenge.
I love both kites - prefer the Boom a little bit, but use the R1V4 if the conditions a difficult or dangerous.
Another thing is, that the Ozone has kevlar/aramide bridlelines, which means it is not allowed for international races or for example for races in
Germany. NL/F/UK allowed aramide for their national races. A spare dyneema bridle costs EUR 420 plus 2h to change it. The Boom has dyneema, so its
legal for all races.
It's been so quiet in here lately I thought everyone died :D.
Can't go wrong with shrimp on the barbie! Looks like Frank got a new buggy too RedSky - 19-9-2023 at 07:35 PM
Yes, kteguru. Been waiting for someone to post up too. I keep checking but see nothing.
We can at least rely on Juan and Jantie for videos.
I don't know how Juan gets so much free time for Buggies, Buddies & BBQs, (there's the title of your next video, you're welcome )
I really wish I had more playtime.
Another good video. Always leaving my hungry for more Juan - 21-9-2023 at 10:22 AM

I take the time, because life is short.Juan - 5-10-2023 at 12:10 AM
Many great shots from the ATV .
Would be nice if we had that many kiters here in the states. Kiting with one or two others is a large turnout hereJuan - 6-11-2023 at 11:20 PM
I always wondered if anyone ever ran into the windmills . At least you didn't
hit the spinning part :D
Two thumbs up Juan - 6-2-2024 at 09:32 AM
I think, the spinning wheel is 35 or 40m above the ground. I use 11m lines plus bar lines and bridle lines. Should be around 16m in total.
Riding there is allowed up to 25m lines in total.Juan - 16-2-2024 at 03:33 AM
OMG! That's terrible! Looks really painful. :o Hoping for a quick recovery.kteguru - 23-3-2024 at 05:55 AM
Yikes :o That was a bad spill! Hope you have a speedy recovery. Everything started out so well too with pizza and burgers but then soon went
downhill Juan - 23-3-2024 at 06:37 AM
Thank you guys!
Surprisingly its not painful. It will be fixed with a metall plate next week or so. No big issue.RedSky - 23-3-2024 at 05:24 PM
Dang! :shocking:
That caught me by surprise! Hope you're on the mend.
What happened? I keep replaying the clip to figure it out. I might be mistaken but it seems to me that the tyre came off the rim.
I hope the surgeon is using A4 stainless steel. We don't want you rusting on the beach. Juan - 24-3-2024 at 03:50 AM
Thank you!
I did not notice the dry tidal channel in front of me. I jumped down just a little bit but hit the following edge in a very bad angle. My backwheels
went upwards and I made a salto. Upside down the kite pulled me sideways out of the buggy.
The front wheel has been damaged because of the last impact of the buggy when it steered to the left.
