unfortunately the ipad cannot watch videos like the ipod unless you get it RTF. The larger projected area of the ipad screen is really designed to be
used for other tasks. In order to watch videos, you will also need the pulley handle accessory. Though, I would personally recommend getting the
ipod first revision as it has a much slower play speed but is more stable and friendly to beginners. If you are just starting out then I would
consider the 3.0 GB version. I don't think you need anything bigger for the speed of music and videos that are typically found in your area. Once
you feel comfortable with the 3GB then you might consider picking up a 5GB or even a 8GB for those days when you just need a little more performance.
