g00fba11 - 10-12-2011 at 12:34 PM

Sure..... I take my son out flying this morning...... just get back in now..... and look what I missed......

Nice grab Todd......

But, on the bright side...... while you were sitting inside buying kites...... I was out flying and enjoying a beautiful sunshiny morning in the snow with my son.......

Hey Todd..... did I mention we were flying this morning......

thanson2001ok - 10-12-2011 at 12:40 PM

Love you too, g00f!

Todd - 10-12-2011 at 01:08 PM

<-------- The Todd that was too late  Nice snag Todd and great prices Steven!

g00fba11 - 10-12-2011 at 02:05 PM

I may have lost out..... but at least the Wisconsin Todd doesn't live to far away and he does like to share.......

So maybe someday I will get a spin on one of those kites....:lol:

thanson2001ok - 10-12-2011 at 04:40 PM

Count me in.

CheddarHead is in Green Bay, g00f is over by Hudson, midgaar is in MKE area, I have a couple of non PKF guys here in Applesauce.

Cheddarhead - 10-12-2011 at 04:50 PM

Phantoms are like gold here! Especially 9 meter ones. Very hard to find, just like the elusive Saskwatch!

Steve, I second the winter gathering. Been trying to get together with the others but so hit and miss. More miss I guess. Never kited Door County but frequent the lower bay alot in the winter. 15 mins from my door step.

Sorry for the Hi-jack....now back to our regular scheduled programing.

lad - 10-12-2011 at 05:54 PM

OOOuch...just got back in from one of my rare buggy outings...missed that 9m Phanny by a mile!

cheezycheese - 10-12-2011 at 10:42 PM

Hey Steve had you asked, you probably could have scored $500 for that 9m...

cheezycheese - 10-12-2011 at 11:40 PM

Oh yeah STEVE...
http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=19353

See what you missed... Could have sparked a feeding frenzy...

lad - 11-12-2011 at 07:26 AM

BRING IT ON! :ticking:

g00fba11 - 11-12-2011 at 08:06 AM

Boy.... see what you guys started..... are you trying to get the cheese to fly here in cheese land.....

Turning an innocent sale into a feeding frenzy just cause you didn't get the 9m Phanny...... Now the 6m..... there's the Gold.....

I mean really..... owning a 9m Phanny is no big deal.....

This thread has turned into quite the comedy..... It has been a serious chuckle to follow....

You guys are so funny......

g00fba11 - 11-12-2011 at 10:00 AM

I already have a 9

A fly in up in door cnty sounds like a good idea...

g00fba11 - 11-12-2011 at 11:25 AM

We will def have to work with Todd and the gang to get an event planned up there Steven.....

It would def be a blast...... How much snow/ice you got in your area?

g00fba11 - 11-12-2011 at 12:10 PM

I got a couple large harnesses I bring with when I go kiting so sharing wont be a problem....

Cheddarhead - 11-12-2011 at 04:09 PM

Lots of people out fishing on the lakes already. Ice fishermen reporting 2-4 inches of hard clear ice on Shawano and bays of Lake Winnebago. Daytime highs are supposed to get a little warmer this week so who knows if that will hold up. Green bay ice is always another story.

B-Roc - 11-12-2011 at 08:13 PM

I love the skiing photo - great shot!

Kamikuza - 11-12-2011 at 11:26 PM

thanson2001ok - 12-12-2011 at 06:50 AM

Love your work, Steve. All the more reason to schedule that meet up in Door County-getting priceless shots.

Shoot ... day late and a dollar short , I just picked up one juicy couture bag at the salvation army store , I felt desperate for a bag with lots of compartments. There's nothing quite like a juicy couture bag for all those misc. kite supplies, wax, ski tools , carbeners, little orange cones ,etc. etc.. I now feel so much more confident and attractive!

WELDNGOD - 22-12-2011 at 11:24 AM

Hey Dino! They got red high heels to go w/ you're pink skirt! :frog:

lad - 22-12-2011 at 03:13 PM

When I saw that all I could think about was those are some strong lines :) People who do not understand why they need 600# lines when they only weigh 180# ... there you go!

snowspider - 19-1-2012 at 10:38 AM

I think there is some skill involved in reading waves , he's obviously still aquiring those skills....the hard way.

bigkahuna - 19-1-2012 at 12:13 PM

That's a normal windy day here at high tide. In fact I bet that's pretty much the norm for a lot of ocean beach breaks, and it can get a lot bigger and gnarlier than that. People look at me funny when I body drag out past the shore break on days like this, but let this happen to them and they'll understand why I do it.

Good one, made me laugh.

this is an example of exactly why I worry about riding in the ocean. I think it is important for people to see how easily someone can get swallowed by a wave so they can be properly cautious.

rocfighter - 20-1-2012 at 04:35 AM

How much for the Guerilla? I have a 13m I got at a really good price. Let me know:wow:

rocfighter - 20-1-2012 at 04:39 PM

Yeah Phanny's are a far more sought after beast. I was considering that one as well!!

tsteigs1 - 25-2-2012 at 04:17 AM

Hey Steven,

I am interested in the frankenkite if it is still available. Please write to tom.steigelmann@gmail.com so we can discuss it.

rocfighter - 15-5-2012 at 03:05 PM

I suspect spam is on the menu.

macboy - 15-5-2012 at 08:45 PM

But to answer the question - yes. It's possible. Quite easy in fact.

Bigbear97e - 16-5-2012 at 12:49 PM

Macboy ... is your answer speaking from experience or are you hoping a "yes" will have this guy trying to put a square peg in a round hole>>>>LOL :D

Kamikuza - 20-5-2012 at 09:15 PM

You mean, SeaSpecs? Or any of a dozen different brand names of the same product, no? And they don't float in fresh water either.

Good price though and congrats on an on-topic spam

Kamikuza - 20-5-2012 at 09:46 PM

If you say so ;) 3 pairs at the bottom of the lake beg to differ.

Kamikuza - 24-5-2012 at 11:50 PM

Oh good just what I've wanted ... a kitchen made out of spam! Let me give you my credit card number right now! :frog:

John Holgate - 25-5-2012 at 04:01 AM

Yes sir, if I had just got all excited about a kitchen, the first place I'd want to go and shout it out to the world would be a kite forum. NOT.

beachrights - 25-5-2012 at 04:25 AM

Yeah, but how does it fly?!
