Ok...this guy rocks. Has anyone checked out some of the action on Atmosphere 09? He is throwing some huge kite loops in 40 mph winds.

Oh yeah...can you believe how many kites are in the air?

To me its just so cool to see that many kites in the air. I would have a blast just watching

saw it back in the spring . high wind session on land require a ton of space. speed and airs are big. around 25mph on land is the limit for me.
more with more space . with out good speed big airs can be dead drops when they fade without good redirect. the redirect has to be on and it comes
with speed like mad.
some sick pops in that vid for sure.

dont get me wrong i love kiteboarding , i landboard my self. This cat lewis is one of the only people i really ever see going nutts on his landboard,
ive seen a few others. Too me doing inverts and moves that high above the earth with no water around is insanity. Pure Insanity. I hink moves like
that should be kept on the water i mean for your own sake. Yall know how easy the chicken loop can come off your harness. it doesnt take much at all,
every one who flys i am sure knows this. I wonder if that kid is permently strapped onto his harness. Heck i would even connect my chicken loop
directly through the harness bar loop if jumping that high over land.

^^^ thats all part of the buzz when you go big on land. but take it from me, you dont start out going that big even if you wanted to. the amount of
power you can hold down on the water is differant to the land so it also take really good kite skills to reach those heights.

He was really coming in hot. Good thing he had the space. Giant cojones, too. You can't see the kite in most of those shots but the intensity of
the sideways slingshot has got to be from looping the kite. I wonder what size kite he was working...maybe 6 mtrs?

Wow ... something for me to work towards then
