That one got ya' talking to yourself!

I'm trying to figure exactly what went wrong. Something about your hands switching at the last second or too may rotations. Can't figure it out. I want to know so I don't do it!

carltb - 20-7-2009 at 03:26 PM

i think i got over rotated and abit horizontal, so as i came down i was heading for a back slam. i managed to spot the ground and break my fall with my arm. (the worst of 2 evils) ive got abit of a sore wrist and a sore hip but nothing serious. ill probably be stiff in the morning though!!!!
i think the change of hands was, i knew i was gunna crash so changed to break my fall but also keep the power on incase it managed to pull me round.

PHREERIDER - 20-7-2009 at 04:35 PM

oh yeah, thump !

i tweaked my strong side shoulder a month ago doing trans air kite loop on ATB. and still feel it today, thankfully its slowly getting better. i much prefer the ones i do on the water. they seem to finish ridiculous fast though. everytime i do one on the water i say " i can't believe i'm trying these on land" ...the instant the acceleration hits and your not around proper you know..... it's coming .... hands go out like a rag doll, WHACK .

right back on while you're still amped from the thump, very nice carl

i think i might have done abit more damage then i thought. off to the hospital for an xray on my wrist!!!

Bladerunner - 21-7-2009 at 10:18 AM

:o

UH OH !!!!!!!

I hope it's O.K.

How and where do you mount your kite cam ? I think I want to try kite mounting my bullet cam on my Syn / Charger ( soon ! )

Great way to catch those good and bad moves!

Best wishes

Good news!!!!!!!
Is it just , tape it up and go or will you have to take a break ?

I forgot I had seen that rig. So how do you attach it to an arc ?

Thanks!

ive got a wrist guard on atm and will be "havin' it large 2moro" its gunna be blowing 25-30mph at rhosnigre so a 2hr drive and an early start in the morning.

you put your front lines through the end tubes and position it so it doesnt effect the v of the lines. job done.

lynx69 - 21-7-2009 at 02:43 PM

Good to hear no serious injuries. Keep the vids coming. Good luck at rhosnigre!!!

Right , and how do keep it in that spot ? I would think it would slide down ? Get tangled when looping ?

Glad you can keep feeding us with your action shots! Have a good day!

glad to hear youre ok for the most part... Also glad to know the atb gods eat it like us mere mortals from time to time:smilegrin:

Cool vids as always!

Did they give you a copy of the x-ray? My fiance is in radiology, she'd get a kick out of seeing a kite injury that relates to her

My new motto is:

If you're gonna try something where you might hurt yourself, be sure to have someone there with you...with a camera to take pictures!
