Big thank you to the Grant for the start of this project. As we recieve all the new toys from Peter Lynn they will be showcased in this action packed video. We hope to have it finished by the end of summer and than jump onto a SnowKite Video.

very nice video. I guess now that your turning into a movie star we will have to roll the red carpet out for you at nabx next year. :smug:

what kite is the guy flying that is jumping with handles?

Drewculous - 21-7-2009 at 05:19 PM

that was awesome!!

Was he flying a syn on handles :shocked2:

way cool, im gonna keep on eye on this stuff... fo sho!

ripsessionkites - 21-7-2009 at 06:39 PM

work in process ... never thought filming was going to be that much harder.

all the board angles, had the camera mounted to the board --> $3000+ between your legs. lol
from behind the shot stuff i was wearing a camera backpack harness, so much harder to jump with a swing arm 3 feet behind you.

no, its not a SYN on handles. hehehe, he's one of our new shop teamriders but we didnt have enough Syns to go around so he used his Pkd Century

stay tuned

Only recently has Peter Lynn crept in the our ATB group. That is changing.
Phontain is Flying His Ranger in that last shot but all 3 ride MBS.
He is a perfectionist so I expect big things from the finished product !

Very cool!

Really, really, sweet vid! The filming and production is quite fantastic.

The only comment I can make is that I'd like to see more kite ;) I don't know why but I haven't seen many shots in any video of a kite at a low angle with rider riding thru the frame with either the rider's back or the kite's top near the lens. In my head it looks cool!

What kite handles are those?

BTW, nice flying spot. I wish I had a field like that near me :) I like trees and all, but every "open" space we have areound here seems to be loaded with trees.

thank you for the input ... noted and will add more low angle shots with more kites featured. its not finished yet still more more and more filming to go.
when its windy again we'll be adding a camera mount to the rear of the buggies as well.
Grant the camera guy has a lot of cam toys ... the one with me sliding through the dirt was him on a cam slide/rail (dunno whats its called but its used lots in the film industry) hehehe. =)

lol. those are PKD handles, B.Boy broke his link line / strop a few days before.

still trying to figure out how we can mount a cam to BR's blades too.

GoPro Kite line mount for rider angle, or I guess you could rotate it for a kite angle: http://tinyurl.com/msael6

I found a bridal mount somewhere, but those make me nervous :) For LEI's I've seen most people secure camers between the inflation loops. On a foil I think you're stuck with a bridal system.

Cool stuff Ricardo,...invite him to NABX next year !, then he can take a spin in the back with me or Arjen !

Beautiful video, ripsession! I just got a Synergy 8m and will be learning to landboard with it soon! I am so stoked!

revpaul - 19-8-2009 at 01:28 PM

all the jumps are sooo soft landing. nice.

I just posted the Video on our German Forum at http://www.fun-kiter.com and they said that the video quality is absolutely awesome, great job - but that there is not enough action.

Also, most of the Riders do not wear helmets. I agree 100% with that one - specially for a teaser vid you need to have all riders with a helmet, otherwise the manufacturer might not like it! (Besides that I think that it's unresponsible)

Again, great work, very cool!
