Anyone played with a Montana, Neo, Arc, etc doing pendulum jumps? I hear about the lofty air people are getting with these on landboards, etc.dylanj423 - 28-7-2009 at 08:25 PM
no need to run with an arc.... just swing it over, pull it in, up you go!Fastrak - 28-7-2009 at 08:32 PM
Is there video of this anywhere?
Do you redirect once up or just let the bar back out?flyjump - 28-7-2009 at 08:39 PM
With arcs I've had high jumps flying static doing pendulums. My highest is between 25-30 feet highburritobandit - 28-7-2009 at 08:49 PM
I've seen/done it several ways:
If the wind's strong (and hopefully steady) enough and you have a big enough kite, let your depower strap all the way out, and just pull the bar in
suddenly and jump.
Or you can do like Dylan said and swing it from 1 to 11 and pull in.
Or you can try and do it pendulum jump style.
Here's some pics of me running with my kite unhooked and doing a basic pendulum jump:
Also, speaking of lofty air on landboards, check it: http://vimeo.com/5723101DAKITEZ - 28-7-2009 at 10:23 PM

IDK about the HQ line up, but my Phantom is lifty! If you want to, that thing soars... Most depowers offer some big sizes which is handy for the
lofty landings... my limited exp with depowers says jumping is great on these!jaymzmn - 8-8-2009 at 09:04 AM
I flew a Montana mark 1 7m yesterday in 15mph gusting to 20mph and was lofted just static several times....
