Your Longest Buggying Session

popeyethewelder - 4-8-2009 at 11:36 AM

Well he's done it again, that is the great Arjen van der Tol

He buggied 280 miles in one buggy session, and now that has started a small group of like minded people in the UK trying to go as far as they can in one day...just last weekend a couple of friends both managed 200 miles each, the UK record

Anyway, what are your longest buggying sessions, it's great to get your pb on the list, and encourages others to better it....we need a USA record holder now. Come on guys, lets see what you're made of, and the Girlies have there own section too, so don't think you can get away with it either lol

all the current listings are here http://pic7.piczo.com/Popeyethewelder?g=50573323

That'll give you something to do when you are bored one day lol

Please if you wish to be added to the list, send details to my link on the distance page

Cheers Carl

I went 62 miles on the beach several years ago but did not take a picture.

ugh. First day today on a tall grass pasture and too small a kite.

1800 feet.

I can only get better at least.

my first and only time on buggy was pretty horrible too, and i had help!

looking forwards to trying again when I get back across the pacific.

how many hours does it take to do 200+?

I remember a guy on racekites asking me if there was any way to do a big buggy expedition up on the tibetan plateau, that thought has been in my mind ever since....

and this epic expedition was 2400 km, but on skis:

hope y'all don't mind the hijack.

im a buggy noob, so id say about 5 miles back and forth across a small field--it was still really fun--wish we had long stretches of beach--id love to just cruise for endless miles

Hit just over 40 miles on the beach in spring. Also had 43 mph that day. Great fun. Hoping to do better this fall... :)
