Anyone else have owned this kite before ? Just wanted to see your thoughts on it, I have one but haven't got a chance to fly it yet. 15 - 25mph today, i think its a little too much, will take out the Little Devil though.

I do and yep too much wind...........happy on the water from 12ish to around 20mph

Tridud how would describe your experience with this one. If you can provide me a small personal review for this. Much appreciated.

tridude - 9-8-2009 at 03:28 PM

deflate can be a pain but overall a sweet kite.....likes brake input and with the power rings a quick tap on them in the power zone provides a bit of turbo boost.................doenst like to sit in the window..........needs activity..............stable at the edge with proper brake input..................easy relaunch off water...................power and speed off the hook:D:D:duh::duh:

I have a Comp XL 4.9 thats sweet too........................anybody need a couple Quads.....excellent condition, one close one open cell, both RTF/shipped........................$375.................Canada $400
for an extra $50 Ill throw in a 4m Blade 2 also in excellent condition.................:crazy::lol::lol::duh::duh:

Is the XL the one that is considered to be close to a Blade ? Looking for a good stable jumping kite. Is this the red & blk one ?

trancein1 - 9-8-2009 at 03:55 PM

WOuld you consider the Kitesurfer to be a good jumper too ?

tridude - 10-8-2009 at 02:33 AM

the XXL Kitesurfer is a decent jumper.....the XL 4.9 Comp is an excellent jumper in 15+ mph winds. Good on the low end side as well. My XL Comp is purple. The XXXL is red and black......................

if I had $$ I would, taking the Kitesufer out today winds at 8mph. Will put a review.

Post Hijack!

Tridude, Would you consider Selling the blade II for $50 + shipping apart from the XL? I'm in need of a much smaller kite than I own.

Power Ring work great, tried them yesterday and they do make a big diff. The kite does pick up power after tapping the brakes. Love IT..

speleopower - 15-8-2009 at 02:20 PM

The Quadrifoil Competition X kites are superior to the Blade IV's for sure. The XL is a great jumper the XXL is not quite as good and the XXXL is the best.
The Quadrifoil Kitesurfer kites are fantastic and lots of pure power but they are hard to deflate.

trancein1-

How was the length on the power ring lines? Did you end up changing them at all after trying them? Just curious, since I've never tried them on any kites.

trancein1 - 19-8-2009 at 02:19 PM

Hey Krumly yah I actually shortened the length of line that is attached to rings, and attached the brakes to the third knot on bridle for low winds and then move it to 4th knot in high winds, works great. Thx once agin.
