Arcumsision ....... and a 50m Synergy

FloRider - 27-8-2009 at 03:18 PM

Arcumsision ----------- [Ar-kuhm-sizh-uhn]

-noun
Origin - English

1. an act, instance, or the rite of converting to Peter Lynn Arcs
2. finding kiting bliss
3. to achieve big air, lots of float, and kiting bliss with a Peter Lynn Arc
4. Purging oneself of using non Arc's in ones quiver

editors note. Often misconceived as a painful process, Arcumcision usually occurs when a kiter has enough moola to buy a Peter Lynn Arc. Can occur in both male and female kiters. This is gaining PKF popularity and is considered by some to be a religious rite of passage (Drewculous, live2hover, carltb, mougl, -mj-)

This would be true but I think Lad is the one that has been most affected by the arcumsision. That guy is out of control! He is always at the beach :envious:

;-)

I'd just about drive to Maryland to have a go at that 24. Can you tell us about it Todd?

common slang:
D'Arc Side

Potential 'Gang' or 'Cult' Colors are not constant... anyone wearing a kiting harness may be flying 'flags' of many colors... red/green/yellow, red/white/blue... Many associated with this "Cult-like group" have been known to fly an odd shaped flag (similar to a c-shapped arc), with an apparition-like figure pictured... these too are also flown in several colors (orange, yellow, green... but the most popular seems to be blue ;) )

The "enemy" of this group is widely considered to be something called "The BowTie" It is unclear at this time what exactly causes said BowTie to infuriate the Arcumsision to such a high level... but most will admit to premature flight, with impropper inflation techniques are usually to blame for the occurance of a BowTie.

The Arcumsision is an easy going individual... but are prone to outbursts of emotion, and can be easily picked out of a crowd simply by looking for a huge goofy-a$$ grin!

There also seems to be a very un-healthy affliction to zippers among the "D'Arc side." Further information is needed, however. see also -AJ-

Actually, my excursions to the crowded beaches have been limited to mostly boogie boarding (esp. with the big storm passing thru). Keybox beach in DE is pretty small, but popular with kite surfers because there are no lifeguards, i think! But $8 for out-of-staters to get in each time! (and very little clearance for land kiting).

But I predict a full, epidemic Arcumsision outbreak shortly after Labor Day when the beaches, lifeguards and patrols thin out. The next Buggy Bash can come none too soon!

Sweet labor day winds.... Bring them on. I am taking a trip to Oceanside CA, which is just north of San Diego around then. I am hoping for some good winds, and Big Air.

I can go into it a little bit Bob... I picked it up from Don Swords of POWERKITEPLACE.COM He is an official Peter Lynn Dealer now. I purchased this Synergy with TEAM HALFBREED in mind. What is TEAM HALF BREED you say? I won't go into any details until the official news hits the stands but it will be big. My son and I are very excited to launch these getting things in motion for the next big step.

They say take baby steps and often that is very hard to accomplish considering the circumstances. I'll be down that way on the 19th Bob with the 24M in tow and will be happy to let anyone have a go at it. I'd like to do a couple test beds with it myself but there has literally been not enough wind.

Here is Don and my son with the intimidating 24M Synergy... this thing is huge! :wee:

Very interesting... I WANT!

FloRider - 30-8-2009 at 04:41 PM

I'm guessing it gets pretty good low end. I'd love to see some specs though.

What kind line tension does it need? Does it use a 120cm bar or bigger? Can it really be de-powered?

I'm guessing its a beast to land.
