Hello Kent
Is the ebay seat a good deal It said it is universal but I am building a big foot Should I go with something else? Your lower priced seat is about the
same price but not sure what seat the ebayer is selling. What would shipping be to Oregon 97123. the ebay on is about $51 shipped.
Thanks
Brian

that ebay seat looks like the new model. It should be ok. If you can get a hold of a libre seat it will probably be nicer for a custom build.

Speaking of something else... I've been on the quest for a backrest, since I hate the PL seat back. I've tried a camping seat, kayak seat, a wooden
board, straps...
Most of the nice seats I've seen won't fit the PL XR+ since the side rails are low. I've thought about just adding a second side rail so that I can
install a higher back seat but I think I'm just going to head to a fab shop and get a tube fabricated that I can attach behind the PL seat. I figure
one day if I get motivated I'll double the side rails and get a buggybags style seat.

I have a libre seat and a PL XR+ seats on my current buggies so I guess I will wait till I get all the other parts together and see what fits.

I posted this up on the forum elsewhere but can't seem to find where it is. You can build a very simple backrest for your PL buggy with a board,
nylon strapping, some padding and some U bolts.
This is very easy to make in a couple hours and shouldn't cost more than about 20 bucks total.
We do have Peter Lynn Comp XR+ seats in stock, shipping to Oregon shouldn't be more than about 6-10 bucks to ship. The Peter Lynn buggies don't have
much for back support at all. The rails are quite low so it is difficult to get any type of support up higher. If you are making a custom buggy then
the PL seat may or may not work depending on your design. If you are making a buggy with higher side rails then the Libra seat may be a better choice
as it is designed for buggies with higher rails. If you want the best seat available - with awesome back support then Buggybags is the place to go.
Jon will custom make you a seat that will fit your buggy awesome, and they are super durable, have excellent back support and come in a variety of
colors. He can also make matching rail covers and such. The cost is a bit higher for the Buggybags seats (especially with the crappy exchange rate)
but you are getting the best of the best!
Here's the picture of the backrest:
