WELDNGOD - 6-9-2009 at 05:59 AM

Check out this new front end I built. The box girder "horse neck" is bombproof. It is now ready for bigfoots.
Kent, I will be hittin' you up for a set of those bling a$$ alloy wheels AWOC sells . Next stop powdercoater.

Nice job WG....looks very strong

Kamikuza - 7-9-2009 at 12:02 AM

Hello the Terminator called and wants another mini-gun mounted to that buggy
Nice! I like the chunky look!

SCREWYFITS - 9-9-2009 at 12:22 PM

Damn!!!

WG, that is what's for dinner "BEEF" with a side of "SUPER"= "SUPER BEEF"

The axle tabs and foot peg tabs are super chunk, what thickness is that 3/8", I assume the rest is made with that also...

Monstrious!!!

Nice work, as always!!!

WELDNGOD - 9-9-2009 at 01:08 PM

actually Screwy, it's 1/2" 5083 AL. on the tabs and peg brkts. everything else is 1/4 and 5/16 5083. Soon I will post a pic of the whole buggy. Glad you likey:smilegrin: how's your alloy bug holdin up?

awindofchange - 9-9-2009 at 02:28 PM

That's amazingly sweet! Should be more than strong! :) When your ready for the aluminum wheels, just come on out here to Vegas and pick them up, maybe you can give me some lessons on welding aluminum while your here!.....that is if we take a break from buggying!

Very nice indeed!

WELDNGOD - 9-9-2009 at 02:54 PM

I lived in Vegas as kid/teen. I wish I lived there now ,but there are no ships to work on . I am gonna order some rims from ya', just gotta get my duckets in a row first.

SCREWYFITS - 9-9-2009 at 04:35 PM

Mine is doing great, I'm gonna mod the neck for a lil more rake...

I also am designing some counter weights that will hang close to the rear wheels and slide up in the front forks...

She likes too slide too much when overpowered, and I want to fly even more power but stick to the ground...

I'm also designing some narrow rims that will take a street scooter tire for less drag...

and starting to conceive a freestyle/freeride beef cake bug...

oooooohhhh all the great fun we have with these bad boys...

WELDNGOD - 16-9-2009 at 02:36 PM

Here is a look at my new buggy. Still gott get the bling rims and some bigfoots. I took it to my spot for a test, wind was great . Today is my B-day and God gave me a gift . 15-25 out of the NE (perfect for my spot) ,and low tide in the mid day! Only catch, I had to play hooky from work. Done deal!!:wee:
Did some mad powerslides and 180s. It rides like a dream. In this shot I did a powerslide to a stop where my basecamp was set up at. Then took a pic and packed up and went home.

Happy Birthday WG...tell me, the ride height looks about right now....is it not going to be too high when you put bigfoots on???

Some close up photo's would be good !!!

WELDNGOD - 18-9-2009 at 01:37 PM

Thanks Popeye, I think It will be good, cause I can put the seat on the lower rails when I raise the height w/ bigfoots. today I made some 8 " long axle extensions out of S.S. Will try out tommorow , expecting 15-25 mph NE.:wee: I will try to get an up dated pic this evening.
How are you doin? Is the work thing still holdin out?
Even if it pans out,a dude with your obviuos skills, wont have to look hard for a job. But I guess that depends on demand. Round here, you would have a new job before you could clear out your gear. Shipyards and Navy everywhere. so you can pick and choose.
Sorry , I got off topic Thanks again Bro'

Todd - 19-9-2009 at 08:02 PM

Thanks again for an incredible day! I got to see this thing first hand today and all I can say is WoW, very impressive! It works and it works well.. give me a bit and I'll put up some video of the days events(if it turns out)

Happy belated birthday brother, it was a huge day today that we will have to do again only this time with you on a de-power. :D

Well, I am still at the same place, workforce has been halved, finish date was the end of July, then I got an extension to the end of September (next Monday)....but there is talk now of lasting till mid November....as far as alternatives around here....well thats zero, I haven't earned any bonuses for over a year and obviously overtime stopped months ago, but am am managing to keep food on the table by making the odd buggy or two....just hope this recession ends sooner than everyone is expecting, but I am not holding my breadth.

Depowers are great, I flew nothing but Access's for over two years, but I felt I got as much as I possibly could out of them, and have moved onto Yakuza's.....much faster and sit further forward in the window.

Having said that, the other week, I was flying a 3.4m Yak, I managed 57.4mph, my mate was on a 13m Venom...half trimmed in and managed 61.8mph...just goes to show ehh.

If I had the cash, I'd totally buy a buggy off of you
