Buggy Space

Drewculous - 10-9-2009 at 11:36 AM

So... i have a half built buggy in the shop, and dreams of cruising in my head... not to mention my ongoing quest for an 'actual' buggy... But i really wonder if the space i have is even worth it, to buggy.

The scale is in the bottom right: bigger bar is 100m, smaller bar is 300ft

let me know if i can rock a bug in this little area

With 600 feet with a wind in the right direction you can enjoy bursts of speed but won't ever be able to reach a terminal velocity. By the time you start rolling fast, you will need to be planning for your turn and slowing down. Still very fun. Enjoy the sliding turns too.

Surely you can work out something on one of those thousands of acres of groomed land outside of town?

When the wind is out of the north at Sunset Beach (where SOBB is and I'm not:() and the tide is in, I might have 300-400 feet. But it is still always fun. Somewhere besides work right?:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Hard to tell corn from mowed grass from satellite. Snow makes it all the same though. You won't have boundaries at all.

The place I ride most is only 900' x 150', works foe me

My local is 60m by 70m (park is a bit bigger but that is all we use to share with people) that is for freestyle though, for land based its to small to have any runs.

You have heaps of space :)
