Sick moves! A dude even kiteloops in a buggy with what looks like a Blade IV 6.5 :o

f0rgiv3n - 10-9-2009 at 10:06 PM

lynx69 - 11-9-2009 at 04:07 AM

carltb - 11-9-2009 at 11:20 AM

@snobr i dont think it matters what these guys where flying.

ps. they are flying what their sponcers want them to fly.

BeamerBob - 11-9-2009 at 11:41 AM

and still no helmets. So far so good for them though.

yes indeed.... but it seems they were flying well in their comfort zones, looked like they had no real trouble "managing" their crashes, at least the ones they showed...

McDuck - 11-9-2009 at 12:39 PM

Wow, best kite landboarding video I've ever seen. Awesome.

snobdr - 11-9-2009 at 01:51 PM

If your that good you can get sponcered by anyone u want. I wouldnt ride for someone that dictates what i ride.
Besides flexifoil dosent just make LEIs
Dont get all bent was just making an observation.

carltb - 11-9-2009 at 02:01 PM

no you wasnt, you where trying to insinuate that all the best rider ride lei's. if you want ill post some vids of lewis, aj, etc flying foils or fixed bridals. its not the kite that makes then this good its their ability.

As if it needs saying snobdr, your comments are many times like salt in wounds where you have put down someones equipment choice as inferior in the recent past. I took it as a slam myself so I understand and agree with Carl's comments. I try to just not reply to the trollish stuff anymore since it has become so much more prevalent here in the last 10 months or so.

The MAIN condition of being a sponsored rider is that you ride their equipment ONLY. Every great rider doesn't get offers by every company. Many times they get really good after getting signed. Hopefully these riders don't sign with a company whose equipment isn't their top choice or at least one of the top.

These pushkite guys could be good on most any equipment they chose to ride. They def have skills.

Maven454 - 11-9-2009 at 02:38 PM

Well, snobdr was one of the people on the foil vs lei discussion who seemed to be rabid for lei's.

awindofchange - 11-9-2009 at 02:51 PM

At least the buggier has the right gear, maybe all those other guys will wise up one day. :):)

(I should be careful cuz I just heard that if you stir the $#%T long enough, you may eventually have to lick the spoon).:singing::singing:

Every time I take the bait I have that taste in my mouth, so maybe you are right AWOC.:puzzled:

awindofchange - 11-9-2009 at 02:58 PM

LOL - Great video - the only thing that bothers me is that nobody is wearing a brain pan. When promoting the sport, safety should never be taken lightly.

lunchbox - 11-9-2009 at 03:21 PM

Love that video...those guys got some mad skills!!!

snobdr - 11-9-2009 at 04:47 PM

lol you guys make me laugh.

They do got some mad skills though.

I think that Lewis Wilby is my fave landboarder. I like alot of his ground work, shov its and manuals very stylee.

Drewculous - 11-9-2009 at 05:22 PM

skanky vid!!
those guys are always fun to see in action... great tunes!
that must be their favorite spot... ive seen that in a ton of videos

man, snobdr, dead horse... c'mon...

Kamikuza - 11-9-2009 at 05:52 PM

Boy they make it look so easy ...! :alien:
... didn't the buggier have a helmet on? I could swear he had kite killers too ... and I KNOW I saw a zipper or two :smug:

burritobandit - 11-9-2009 at 08:47 PM

For balance, here's some dudes tricking under new Speed 3s AND they're wearing helmets =O

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqxTPa6RVJI

In HD too!

carltb - 12-9-2009 at 03:03 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5VUO3FQ4aA&feature=chann...

if helmets is your issue then heres the same riders with helmets on!!!

personally i ride with a helmet but its not the be all and end all of kite safety. whats inside the helmet's the best safety equipment!!

lynx69 - 12-9-2009 at 03:56 AM

Thanks Carl for being an advocate of helmets and safety gear. I consider you to be one of the premiere landboarders in the world. You are a great embassador for our passion of kiting. I know the "cool look" of no safety gear appeals to the younger generation which is the target of marketing.

Yeah, I know I am a suck up guys.:spin:

after every jump the camera man got really shakey.... its strange how it all was so smooth, except after a jump... other than that it was pretty good, those guys have some skills!

At about 40 seconds in that head slam wouldn't fit in MY comfort zone. Not even with a helmet.

Great video. Pity about the helmet thing!

acampbell - 12-9-2009 at 08:32 AM

Isn't that the same spot where the kid was flying the Phantom and jumping that sidewalk?

carltb - 12-9-2009 at 02:53 PM

snobdr - 12-9-2009 at 08:17 PM

Carl take a pill! You guys get so wound about it.
But what i dont get is why bother with LEIs if foils are so great?
LOL

bkkowta - 12-9-2009 at 09:22 PM

soooo sick I<3 the deadmans!!!!!

snobdr - 13-9-2009 at 05:42 AM

Older videos, still killer.

carltb - 13-9-2009 at 06:20 AM

you are the one obsessed with lei's. i'm just pointing out that lei's are not the only kites on the market.

snobdr - 13-9-2009 at 07:15 AM

Or is this forum obsessed with foils?

carltb - 13-9-2009 at 08:52 AM

I've got to agree with Carl on this on. The subject just isn't going to go anywhere useful.

snobdr - 13-9-2009 at 10:45 AM

Ok maven

off topic:

I dont think so... the gap in that phantom vid is pretty tall (5-8ish feet?) and there seems to be more trees in the phantom vid

Same island... probably yes
same spot... i'd say no

but interesting side note: i think the 'fat sands beginner landboarding' dvd was shot in the same spot as this pushkiting video. idk... england looks very similar in any shot to me... cloudy, windy, and full of kites!

power - 5-10-2009 at 03:37 PM

That last jump...
