What is the wind? 25 gusting to 40, what kite were you riding?nwsurfwakeskate - 21-9-2009 at 02:18 PM
I was on the speed 2 12m for about an hour before it was too much to hold down. it started out around 15-20 and built and started getting more and
more gusty.
after I came in on the 12m speed 2 I threw a 9.5m Kahoona up which was about perfect for a good 3 hours before even that started feeling like too big
of a kite. I have a 6m LF session but I haven't used it yet and didn't pack it in the car that day because space was limited and I wasn't expecting so
much wind. when we left at 3pm 1 guy was rigging a 6m LF havoc and another was rigging a 6m Eclipse thruster.
me and my friend Alex rode from 8:30am to 3pm before we could hardly move anymore from soreness lol.
AVG windspeed according to NOAA was 18.2mph for the whole day. The afternoon brought sustained mid 30's with peak gusts at 38-40mph at 3 separate
times spread out from noon to 3pm. I heard from some people who were just showing up as we were leaving that it blew like that all the way until
sunset too :smug:ragden - 22-9-2009 at 05:27 AM
