The intake vents are near the output fan, and the little push-button doesn't lock on. But it does seem to give a decent little gust for maybe vent

i have a coleman mattress pump that charges in my car.... does a great job if i need it.... about the same price... there are several options at

Well, these things have their usefulness. I pre-inflate behind a tree line and drag my kite into the water for a drift launch, so I need to use a

I just field tested the WD-40 blower on the 12m Phan in calm winds. It fits fairly snug in my cargo shorts side pocket (about the size of a med.
pepper grinder). I inserted it into a small gap in the inflate zipper and...man...that thing filled up ~amazingly~ quick!
Advantages:
-small
-light
-handy
-CHEAP
-looks cool
-deceptively FAST for it's size (much better than my clunky, cheapo 4 D battery Coleman - which broke quickly)
...did I mention CHEAP?
Drawbacks compared to standard rechargable inflators:
- intake vents close to output opening - an extension would be handy (tube, bottomless cup, etc.)
- no on/off switch, just a push button, so you have to stay there (but it works pretty fast, and you could rig some tensioner or clip up, I suppose)
- Not self standing, even if you could rig a switch holder
- A/C recharge only, no car lighter adapter - takes up to 16 hrs. (but charge lasts long for its size)
-no built-in deflate function (without rigging up a tube and switch lock)
It wouldn't replace the bigger inflators or leaf blowers in all functions, but would still be handy in the field for remote inflates or top-offs
during (re)launches.
Cordless to boot.
