We have access to the sod farm on the 11th of Oct. It's a 200 acre sod farm with no trees or anything that will hinder the wind, except for the house
in the middle of the property.
Weather and wind look good, but that is subject to change.
As a way to say thank you to the owners and help him in his kite/buggy expenses a $5.00 charge is asked for each vehicle to park.

I'm planning on coming. I'm new to this side of the sport, but can't wait to check it out, learn some things, meet some people, etc.
Oh, and it's 3hr trip for me too!
Long day for certain, but worth it for an end of summer bash!

when is low tide?? :puzzled: I can't find anything on the tidefletcht - 8-10-2009 at 08:41 PM
Jim, anytime before the snow flies.stetson05 - 13-10-2009 at 06:29 PM
So how was it? Does he support winter flying. Does the area get any snow that sticks. Seems like it should between December and January.bigkid - 13-10-2009 at 09:52 PM
Lots of wind or a little wind, it's always good. I asked about the snow issue and Kent said they get lots of snow and then it's gone or a little snow
and it sticks around for a long time. It is a hit or miss type of situation. He said to call before hand and see whats up.
I will keep in touch with him and see if we can set up another time to go.
