-mj- - 1-10-2009 at 05:37 AM

Hi all,

We're proud to say that the team we sponsored has set new world records by crossing the Sahara (north to south).
more news about this grueling adventure will be posted on our website soon but I did want to share this movie.

its the second featured vid, called Sahara express, first you're treated to an alcohol abuse commercial, oh yeah, hope you'll understand the strange language :tumble:

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! These men have the HOOOOOJest B@@@LLLZZZZZ. God bless them. Who knew you could find such life inspiration from powerkiting !!!

Fantastico!!!
I am impressed that the kites/accessories they are using all look completely stock. Same as U or I would get out of the box.
Their buggies are, of course, a different story. That adventure surely provided PL with a lot of new ideas regarding manufacture of a hugely robust "cross country/adventure" buggy.
I'm eagerly looking forward to learning of where/when the next "buggy adventure" will take place.

That was my Reactor 10.8 in yellow/ blue "on loan"

Having come out worse for the wear, the good PL folks replaced it with a new RII

I felt proud for just a second when I saw the blue/yellow 10.8m. I got to tell myself "Hey I've flown that kite!" It is a blast too. I'm sure if the kite makers have good stuff, they release it to make their products better so they sell more.

While it was great that P.L. supplied you with a new RII it would still be kind of cool to have the old Reactor back. Not everyone can say they have a kite that crossed the Sahara hanging back in the back of the shop !

The Folks at Conceptair pioneered this concept, crossing Greenland with kites over a decade ago! ( proudly Canadian )
