How do I imbed an image from paint? It shows an ATB drawing that I have some questions about and I cant figure out how to embed it.

Click the "Post Reply" button to the right, then when the next screen opens, hit the 'browse' button to find it on your hard-drive ...

Open it up in paint, and then save it as a jpeg, you should be able to do that then post it.

I just got my first landboard today (thanks Maven) and I want to make sure when I go out to use it I'm doing it right. Is this the correct form for
landboarding?

Do that and you'll get yanked over the front of the board ...
Here's what I do cos I have a hard time telling where the wind is coming from
Park the kite at zenith then dive in the direction you want to go ... let's say to the left. Note some landscape feature that you can site behind the
point where the kite dives ...
Now, point your board at where the kite was headed on it's dive, or maybe even a little upwind.
Get on the board, dive the kite again and let the kite pull you.
BEFORE the kite reaches the bottom of it's dive, turn the board upwind by applying heel side pressure - the idea being to keep tension on the kite
lines, keep it powered and under control ...
You'll have to vary the depth of the dive depending on how much wind there is and how hooj your ballz are ie. how fast you want to take off from a
stand still and you may have to start sine-ing immediately if the wind is light
- dive the kite then fly it back towards 12 o'clock then dive it back in the direction you want to go ...

Kami, my understanding is that the drawing is basically correct. The kite is downwind of you and you're moving perpendicular to the wind.
The only item of note that's not really show in the drawing is that the kite should be pointed in the direction you want to be travelling, as opposed
to pointed up which is what the picture makes it look like.
Not that I'm arguing with Kami's directions, because they are correct.

don't forget to lean back against the pull of the kite.Put those feet out in front of you. Gotta trust the kite And lookin at your pic,If ya got wind
behind you,then you can go left and right. The kite needs to be not 90*,but off to one side a little. Once you get up to speed the kite will get
closer to that 90* point ,as the window shifts (due to the effect of apparent wind caused by motion). But your biggest prob will be learnin to lean
back and trust the kite, but you will get it. (after ya bust your butt a few times)lol
PS Watch for speed wobble, it can bite ya'

I already got some speed wobble in gusty conditions last week. Kind of scary. How do you keep that under control?

One thing you can do is tighten the steering on the board, but that limits your turning radius. Lowering your center of gravity should help too.
