Two questions.
1. What does the ribbon on the trailing edge do for you?
2. What created the large tread tracks on the beach?
mcarltb - 19-10-2009 at 03:57 PM
the ribbon doesnt do much in flight apart from me being abit differant but when i pack up and leave the spars in then i use it to wrap around the
finished roll to stop it from unravelling.
the tread tracks are made by a jcb digger and a dumper truck. dont ask me why but they collect sand all day and dump it at the top of the beach.
its probably something to do with construction.lad - 19-10-2009 at 04:09 PM
Dune jumping is one of the things I most want to do w/ my arcs, but they don't let anyone on the protected beach dunes in my region ;-(Kamikuza - 19-10-2009 at 06:36 PM
Very nice, thanks for that
Is there a wind speed limit to doing that?
Static jumping is so much fun on the arcs ... so easy too - in a good wind, all I need to do is send it across, dig my heels in then pop! Dune jumping
looks awesome ... pity we got none around here Maven454 - 20-10-2009 at 03:03 AM
Carl, when you stall land them that way, that's directly down wind, right?sp4cem0nkey - 20-10-2009 at 09:40 AM
Another great vid, Carl!
Thanks for the in-depth demo on stall landing!
I don't have a suicide leash, but I'm going to try using the same technique except holding the self-landing handle on the bottom side.Houston AirHead - 20-10-2009 at 11:12 AM

Is that the same for an 04 bar and 07 bar? I think my Phantom 9M has an 04.Kamikuza - 2-3-2010 at 09:45 PM
AD72 - I think the principles are the same ... I can't remember how far away from the bar the ring for the safety is - might prove to be a bit of a
reach ...
Mav - I've done it successfully at the edge of the window, but that was light wind ...Maven454 - 3-3-2010 at 05:57 AM

Doesn't matter to me anymore, I sold off all my arcs. But hopefully the info will help someone else.
