Does any one have a single mbs 8inch hub they can sell me. i was fixing a inertube and i guess i overinflated and busted my hub.
i think the saltwater finally weakened them.
mbs only sells them in sets of four.
i also need some innertubes, any one?:puzzled:Houston AirHead - 25-10-2009 at 06:50 PM

If one is weakened by salt water, surely they all are ...? Buy a new set Houston AirHead - 25-10-2009 at 08:16 PM
yeah, ive found a way to rig them secure with zip ties around the spokes. it will have to due for now until i can afford the aluminum onesstetson05 - 26-10-2009 at 01:13 AM
I am pretty sure the tires and tubes being sold there are "monster truck" tires
that fit on standard hubs. Hubs are being sold with the board.

--> "Additional 4 GI hubs plus tires (green, new version) on skateboard axles - $70" is in that post. In addition to the big tires and the board
with old black hubs and tires.PHREERIDER - 26-10-2009 at 06:41 AM
JUST got a set of the NEW GI cross airs (unreleased ) very solid hardware . the MBS trispoke broken ? wow, LIP crack? spoke break? these are chunky
clunky but broken? if the bolt is rusted through replace it with the same size.
Crossairs are definitely a bench mark for GI .indigo_wolf - 26-10-2009 at 07:03 AM

My bad.... the street treads threw me, but I guess those are Vegas hubs.

Correct, the green GI hubs from my selling post are Vegas hubs. Nice and stylish, but I think they don't fit on MBS?indigo_wolf - 26-10-2009 at 11:47 AM
You might be able to get them to work.... depends on matching the ID of the bearings (the OD is 28mm) to the axle diameter. In the MBS line, there is
some variance, depending on the trucks.
MBS Matrix Trucks use bearings with a 12mm ID so it should be a straight swap to mount the Vegas hubs. The ATS trucks with Rockstar, Twistar or
Tri-Spoke hubs use 9.5 ID bearings. You could do it, but you might have to swap bearings and any savings might get chewed through.
Too much coffee.... just read back through that. I think the pocket protector is starting to wear through.

thanks for all that guys, yeah the teeth on the hub acually bent backwards. the structural integrity is gone although they still do lock together some
what. I plan to zip tie them secure with thick heavy duty zip ties after i patch up some innertube leaks.
