Kite Simulators??

shaggs2riches - 29-10-2009 at 06:29 AM

Hey fellas.
I'm just curious if anyone has ever tried out a kite simulator for pc? Just for fun I looked it up and found a couple, and was wondering if these type of things would give a guy any idea how a kite handles. My kite comes in like two weeks so I'm getting impatient. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be great. Thanks.

Which ones have you tried. The few that I found didn't impress me, although if you've got nothing better to do... ;)

I have Wii active life and think it is pretty poor. I enjoy using the balance board much more. If they could marry the kite game to the balance board it would be much better.

I have a Kitesurfing App for my iphone that is not to bad.
A brief description can be found here:

My suggestion is be patient as NOTHING comes close to the real thing.
It is kinda fun though when you need to pass the time and its portable.

TWO WEEKS?!!!!

Dude. If you wanna try a fixed bridle let me know and I can send you a kite to play with. Just pay the postage and it'd be my pleasure. You're not far from me at all. We'll call it an outdoor simulator

I had that in my P.C. at my previous job. It was an O.K. way to kill time between projects.

Take Macboy up on the loan !

How about a piece of broomstick and two bungie cords?

Actually a stick hanging from a tree like a kite bar can be endless fun.

Wow! I appreciate the offer Mac! I got home from work to get an e-mail that my kite will be shipped out on Monday morning. If all goes right my kite should be in for next weekend. I should be able to hold off till then. Busy week next week anyway so I wouldn't have time to go out. It's hard top believe though that I ordered my kite over a month ago. Oh well, I downloaded that flysim game kinda neat but got kinda bored fast. Anyway thanks for the input guys!
