Help packing the prism snapshot

jeech - 30-10-2009 at 06:11 PM

I saw that one or two people on here have a snapshot and I was wondering if I could get a little help packing it. I got the 1.2 just to carry around with me everywhere as a time killer. I got off work today and it was on my doorstep, so I rushed out to fly it before the sun went down. When I unpacked it, I didn't pay close enough attention to how it was packed, and when I finished flying I realized I didn't know how to get it back in the bag the right way. Can anyone help me out?

first, carefully wind the lines back onto the winder-card in a over-under figure eight pattern. then when you are at the bridle of the kite lay down the lines and with the kite laid out flat on its back fold one wing tip in, then the other just like a pillow case until you think its small enough to roll up. lay your lines on the bottom edge of the kite and roll it up into a small enough package to fit back in the case.
dont worry, with practice it gets easier.... wax-on wax-off :karate:

I know its a two line kite on straps, but you can still parapack. here are directions http://www.racekites.com/howto/howto_11.asp

+1 for parapacking.

But how ever you put it away make sure you secure the kite first. Fold it and weight it down somehow or fold it and put it in the bag then deal with the lines. Practice makes perfect even with the small kites.
