I have sold all my FB to others wanting to start kiting with us so now I am looking for a Depower Foil. I have a budget of $400 and am 225# with good
kite skills. This is for snow and land. I am unsure of the size I would need but as I get older I seem to be a bigger wuss. I have never flown a
Depower foil so I am all new too this side of kites.

i would look for an ozone access. used of course. if you got a tight budget maybe consider a small LEI. ebay always has super cheap deals on smaller
kites around the 2-300 range as well as ikitesurf.com unless your just dead set on a foil.kitedog - 1-11-2009 at 03:30 PM

Interesting ?
I'm only 140lbs but find my 7m Pulse to be an ideal intro to depower kite ? It flies pretty early and has a huge top end. It has that small delay
that allows you to correct a bad move before it bites. Then responds well. This is one reason I keep mine.
I guess it depends on your average winds and location ? At 225 you may want something bigger ? For smaller folks a 7 or 8 is a good place to start ?
