FWIW: When I click on the MSN id in your profile, I am given the option of sending you a private message through MSN/Live. When I attempt to do so, I get the following message:

"You can't send or reply to this person because of their communication preference settings."

Expect you have limited private message to "No One" or only folks in your network, here:

Windows Live > Options > Communication preferences

Granted this would only work for folks with MSN/Hotmail/Live accounts, but... thought it was worth mentioning. Seems like a good alternative that would only be limited by Live Mail space.

ATB,
Sam

Hi Rip,
a. Will consider more U2U space - the downside is possible slower database performance. Make sure once you've moved messages to the trash you then empty the trash. That will free up more space.

b. Sorry, no utility to download messages. Just copy/paste to a text file.

c. No problem!

So are you going to add it?

As I said... we will consider it and make a decision based on forum performance. If/when we do, I'll announce it here.

Try clicking the "send to my email" radio button at the bottom of the message instead of the delete button. When in doubt, RTFM

I don't know if everyone does this or not, but it should help you with space if you dont.

when you send a u2u back to someone leave all the quotes in it. This way if you both reply back and forth 10x all you need to keep is the very last u2u because all the previous discussion is enclosed in the last u2u. So instead of having 10 u2u in your inbox you can delete all the previous to only have 1.

Just trying to help

 yes but what is the post going to look like? wider / resizable u2u window would be awesome....

but there is always copy / paste to txt file for keeping track of ongoing discussions... I can drag txt frags directly to my desk top from the u2u window... put them in a folder when I tidy up...

good idea Furb. I just did that and it works great

I never had much of a problem with my box being full ( I guess I'm not one of the cool kids  ) but with Furb's idea my box will only have a few of the newest messages. Now I can clear out the messages with good info that I was saving.
