to all the forum members who have served, are serving, or have vets or active military in their families I salute you. We are the best damn military in the world, serving the best damn country in the world..........................for the rest of you drop and give me 20........................:o:o:thumbup::thumbup:

Hell yes I agree! Being 18 I just had to sign up for selective service, and while the military is not in my planned future, It would be an honor to be able to serve for this country.

That one was screwed by politics as much as anything else... But this is definitely not the place to get into it.

Same could be said about overly-zealous nationalist sentiment in an international forum ;)

It's Veterans day in the United States. Honor and respect to those who've served and those that are serving now.

Bladerunner - 11-11-2009 at 08:09 AM

It is Veterans day in MANY countries. It is a day off work up North. Hooj Respect !

I say , give those moments of silence then, GO FLY A KITE.

Freedom is Flying !!!!!

Having served 18 years of my life in the Military I thank all of you for your support for lost and serving comrades. People will never understand the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms. Heading off to services this morning, in the honor guard. All my 9 grand children will be in attendance.

Ditto guys from a Viet Nam Vet. Just got back from a free lunch at Applebys restaurant. Times have changed and I appreciate the accolades for all those that have served and are serving.:bigok:

Bladerunner - 11-11-2009 at 05:12 PM

I didn't feel much like flying today but felt it may truly be a chance to show my respect.

The freedom to fly kites has actually been won thanks to men of Honour in some countries.

No one was at the park. The wind was gentle and the time was perfect to think about those who have served . I lost my last personal WWII Hero last year so this one is special.

Thanks Vet's :bigok:
