Jolt got me thinking, what beverage do you prefer when sobriety isnt an issue.... or to unwind after an epic sesh... local favorites, family
recipies, or just your favorite hooch!
Beer: Fat Tire
Amber ale brewed nearby in ft. collins colorado... New Belgium brewing co actually makes some of the best beer i've ever had... if you get the chance,
dont pass up a good fat tire http://www.newbelgium.com/beer/fat-tire
Drew's Car Bomb
1 shot of an Irish whiskey called Knappague, mixed with a Guinness... it is evil how good it is... crazy good single malt whiskey http://www.knappoguewhiskey.com/
Favorite holiday drink:
1 shot Favorite irish whiskey (Jameson works pretty well)
fill glass (i just use a 16-20ish oz glass) w/ equal parts egg nog and Coke
Sounds gross i know, but trust me and try it... its what a rootbeer float should taste like
These are a couple of my favorites, post up some of yours! Tis the season anyway... f0rgiv3n - 23-11-2009 at 01:40 PM
Beer:
Buttface Amber Ale, made at The Ram. Second fav is Black Butte Porter which is brewed at the deschutes brewery a few hours away in Deschutes, Oregon
Non-alcoholic:
Pepsi(period)
I have had a redbull before my last two kite sessions and they both ended up being freaking awesome sessions... maybe I"m starting a habit. o.Oindigo_wolf - 23-11-2009 at 02:52 PM
Bacardi + Coke + Lime.... sometime stray, but generally come back... expect there is as much nostalgia as anything else in the selection.

Sweetwater IPA, brewed in Atlanta. Almost better than the original IPA, Bass Ale.rocfighter - 23-11-2009 at 03:00 PM
Wow I am so boring the strongest thing I ever drink is coffee.william_rx7 - 23-11-2009 at 03:31 PM
Mmm, Sweetwater, is nice.
Here in Toronto, I'm into Steamwhistle Pilsner
Red Bull & Absolute - we named it "The Tazer", after a buddy got tazed in Georgetown after being shall we say "over-served". Scary about vitamin
B12 + alcohol, you're way, way, way more wasted than you realize..ripsessionkites - 23-11-2009 at 03:44 PM
REDBULL + VODKAredtailin - 23-11-2009 at 04:13 PM
Seconded on the Fat Tire. But im an even bigger fan of their Mothership Wit. Not only is it all organic, but its also a WIND POWERED brewery. cant
beat that.
also diggin Moose Drool (Big Sky brew) and Hazed and Infused from Boulder, COBladerunner - 23-11-2009 at 04:59 PM
Red Bull Baby!

Well glad to see i started something, even though it might not be useful but I tend to be a connoisseur when it comes to liquor. I'll try anything
once, and more if i like it.
As far as my favorites:
Beer:
I do enjoy the occasional Fat Tire every now and then, but If i had a choice I'd shoot for Dos Equis (Yes I can speak French in Russian). Being from
Chicago I also do love our Goose Island 312. I also like Guinness Stout, and Sam Addams.
Mixed / Hard:
Personally me n my friends have come up with many personal mixes, of which if you guys ever get the chance I recommend you try either Black Label or
Jack Daniels with Ginger Ale...
Like I said in my other thread, everyone has their "Gentleman" drink and mine just happens to be Cap'n'Coke, It taste's good and I like it.
I like taking a lot of shots, my birthday last month I ended up going to a club in the city, and had a wristband for free shots all night long,
somehow I didn't get drunk, which is kinda odd, when i turned 21 last year, I don't remember the night.
Oh and adding something else to that, me n Trancein1 are at his hookah bar right now enjoying some Dos Equis...
I don't knwo how to embed a video onto the forum, never had to, but enjoy this video :wee:
Pretty sure there isn't any alcoholic drink that can top that.
BrianWIllardTheGrey - 23-11-2009 at 07:58 PM
3/4 shot amaretto almond liqueur
1/4 oz 151 proof rum
1/2 glass beer
1. Fill a shot glass about 3/4 full with amaretto and top it off with enough 151 proof rum to be able to burn.
2. Place the shot glass in another glass and fill the outer glass with beer (right up to the level of the shot glass).
3. Ignite the amaretto/151 and let it burn for a while. Blow it out (or leave it burning if you're brave - not recommended) and slam it. Tastes just
like Dr. Pepper.canuck - 23-11-2009 at 08:13 PM
Beer: Any beer from the Alley Kat Brewery in Edmonton, Alberta. For something different with a good kick (9% alcohol) try La Fin du Monde by Unibroue
in Chambly, Quebec
Spirits: single malt scotch on a rockJaymz - 23-11-2009 at 08:34 PM

I have a Kokanee land board and they sent me a snowboard, so, I drink alot of Kokanee.
But, I'm also an honorary member of the whitewater paddling Team Pabst. So I drink alot of that too.
My neighbor is a Budweiser sales man and gave me a Michelob Golden Light board he wants me to ride..
Man, I drink alot of cheap beer, and it tastes real good after kiting since it's mostly water anyway!Jolt - 23-11-2009 at 11:08 PM
Completely forgot about gin :/... i love gin n tonic's too...BeamerBob - 24-11-2009 at 06:40 AM
Yeah, I like Tanqueray and tonic.
I have a great Bloody Mary recipe that is good enough I can't order one in a bar any more.
Yuengling beers (light, lager, black and tan)
Fat Tire, Newcastle, Corona
Corsendonk Belgian beer for special occasions.
Soft drink is Mountain Dew with Dr. Pepper a distant second, then pepsi as a generic soda.
Monster energy drinks with an Amp from time to time (for the flavor since I don't seem to actually get a kick from them.)
I don't drink coffee at all.action jackson - 24-11-2009 at 07:09 AM
Redbull and nicotine keep me going! I just can't let a hangover screw up a day of kiting!......ajcheezycheese - 24-11-2009 at 07:10 AM

I'll ad lib best I can, but I'll have to look it up at home to get the quantities.
Mr. T's Bloody Mary mix.
High quality vodka (just enough, too much makes it bitter)
Worcestershire sauce
celery salt
horseradish sauce
tabasco sauce
fresh ground black pepper
Dill pickles work great as a garnish too.redtailin - 24-11-2009 at 10:03 AM
yep , forgot to include the gin and tonic. nothing tops it.heliboy50 - 24-11-2009 at 10:13 AM
Best beer ever built- Mac and JacS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s African Amber. Hard to find though.Drewculous - 24-11-2009 at 04:09 PM
i like ipa beers... most people dont tho, too much bite...
And for everyone that likes gin (i am not one... very bad experience when i was younger :megan: ) try bombay sapphire... i hate gin, but last time i
was in pheonix, i had a salty dog that may make me change my mind about gin...
Fresh picked grapefruit (30 seconds off the tree), some bombay sapphire, dash of salt... omg! :o Best gin drink EVAR!!!
If you are ever in Denver, co... there is an english pub type bar right down town, a block east of the art museum IIRC. And they brew a beer there
that is Nitrogen carbonated like Guinness, but it isnt pressurized like normal beer.. they have to hand pump it from the cask in the basement... That
little pub is awesome! mmmm brown gravy and french fries.. lol good times in coloradofurbowski - 24-11-2009 at 05:54 PM
hong kong cheap beer! about 30 cents a can!
it's alright as long as you don't drink anything good!
but the real mojo comes from fresh roast fresh grind coffee as strong as i can stand it plus a lil sticky black nepali product...

I'm boring. Mountain Dew is my drink addiction of choice. Do the DEW!!!Taper123 - 25-11-2009 at 08:08 AM
But a cold beer after a buggy run always hits the spot. And at night with the campfire going, a little Patron or Don Julio adds a nice glow.Houston AirHead - 25-11-2009 at 02:17 PM

drinks are like crack.Jellikin - 26-11-2009 at 06:14 AM

I'd pay for my board and drink Summit!
krumlyInvertedForce - 27-11-2009 at 12:31 AM
I like Clipper City's Heavy Seas: Below Decks. Its a strong 10% ale, excellent robust flavor and a great clean finish. Also, Dogfish head has some
really good IPAs...
For Liquor, I like New Amsterdam or Bombay Sapphire Gin with cranberry or pomegranate juice...

Any of my Screwy Brewery Home Brews are always a treat... But the Screwy Brewery Imperial Stout (11-11.3%) is got a special place in my fave book...

Krumly.
I used to drink alot of Summit EPA. Tasty. And now I've grown to love Surly since they sponsor Ice Fest and Paddle Fest here in Sandstone the free
beer has got me addicted. But I'll tell you what, a long night of drinking Summit or Pabst, I'm usually in better shape the next morning with the
cheap beer and in my older age, certainly things to consider! Let's get together and fly some SLARCs this winter. You bring the Summit, I'll bring
the Surly Bender!
