Got a 3m Radsail in my quiver recently . I only just stared this lovely "sport" and want to fly more . Purchased at the coast where there is plenty of
wind . Over here there is not enough wind . Only starts lifting with gusts ( yes I live inland so the wind is not consistent ) What size would you
recommend to have decent power in light wind conditions ( would love to be able to fly more over weekends )
As I understand bigger kites fly better in light winds ( true ? ):piggy:

YES and NO
You can usually get a small kite flying in very low wind by flying the heck out of it and creating your own apparent wind.
A larger kite is needed to create enough power to ride in lower wind. The larger kite will turn + fly slower so in many ways it is more fun to fly a
small kite in low wind. The larger kite is needed if you need power.
5m is a good size . It can be flown fast but has enough size to give you some power as well.
Not all 5m ( or other ) kites are the same !!!!! Shape and bridles make them fly very different.
