Has anyone else found the 2008 9m Waroo lacking in gusty conditions? It just bucks and buckles like wild in gusty conditions. I don't think it's a
case of insufficient inflation, although there may be a slow leak. Never know.
By comparison, my 09 Cabrihna Convert 7m is rock solid in the gusty conditions.

Do you pump it up until you just cant pump anymore? 8-9 psi or more.
I find my 08 7m Waroo great in gusty wind. Sure its twitchy and gusts feel like pulses but it doesn't buckle or anything.
Also try powering it up more.
Maybe that should help?

I have seen a friend's 2008 9m Waroo sort of 'flap' in gusty winds. By flap I mean the kite widens and narrows. I'm not sure how powered up he had
it. I also don't know if it was inflated properly or not.
I flew my 2007 9m Waroo in 22-30mph winds this past Sunday and it felt solid to me. I specifically looked for the same 'flapping' behavior and it
wasn't anywhere near the amt of 'flap' as that 08 Waroo. I do pump the heck out of my kites, tho.

That's strange... I thought the 07s had more flapping problems than the 08s.

I've pumped the hell out of the 9m And 7m to dry overnight and this should give some idea if there's a leak. I also pump the hell out of my kites for
a big session, don't see any disadvantage to this.
Got a friend who owns a 5m waroo and said it was solid. Could take anything he threw at it.
I've tried trimming in the 9m in strong wind to see if it handles better, and it does. But still nothing compared to the 7m Convert.
Thanks for the feedback.

No leaks in the Convert. The waroo has slow leaks in all the struts, but not the leading edge. I doubt the leaks are the source of the problem
because the kite showed this bucking/ buckling behavior right from the second it was launched.
Perhaps attaching the steering lines to A,C will help steady the kite. I always use A,A.
If this doesn't work I guess I'll replace it with another Convert.

Yeah A-C will steady the kite, but it will add more bar pressure. Plus the kite will have less pivot in it when relaunching...
I like A-B personally on my 11m. But I don't think the 08s have the adjustments only 09s. Maybe?
It really just depends on what you like.

08s do have the A B C adjustments
