dual buggy rack

WELDNGOD - 8-12-2009 at 11:59 AM

Check out the dual buggy carrier I'm makin for my good buddy Todd. I still have a few things to do before paint.
I stood on it and bounced up and down . It didn't phase it any.
I will post better pics after sand and paint.

Would the buggies mount vertically, front wheel up? Are the C-brackets on the platform section meant to slot the rear axles?

Well..... the billboard does say, "Will weld for kites" ;)

You do have a couple of doggies wandering around in the PKF paddocks.

Why... you might even convince him to do a rack in (Kermit) GREEN :wow:

indigo, you got it right. It's made from steel, so it is plenty strong. But Todd's got a pair of libres to carry around so it needs the strength.
Maven , I'm your friend too, you just haven't met me yet. I will be at WW this spring.

Pair of libres....:shocked2: :wow:

That man really needs a pair of belly pans/buggy bags with "Ready to Rumble" emblazoned across them.

Another fine job WG! I am sure Todd will be extremely pleased!

WELDNGOD - 8-12-2009 at 01:11 PM

That was the general idea:roll: I got a few mods to make but I like it. If I'm gonna make something, I like to do it proper ,or not at all.

:wow: I'm floored.

I step away from the computer for a couple of hours and looks like Christmas came early! Donnie, that thing is PIMP; I truly don't know what to say but THANK YOU!! And to think you did all of this from NO measurements from me (AKA slacker)

You want some company this weekend? I can bring more kites :wee: I want you to meet my son Corey; He was pretty impressed with the video of your homemade buggy and couldn't make it down last business trip.

Oh, and I only have one Libre. Corey has a pretty pimped out Peter Lynn soon to be riding on some A Wind Of Change aluminum rims.

I don't F around bro'! When I get on a project for a customer ,I'm in it to win it. However, when I'm buildin my own stuff , it keeps gettin put on the back burner until I have a slow period. All I can say is, you gave me the proper incentive to git er done! I was pondering making a couple of single buggy racks to take w/ me to WW this spring.
Do ya think there is enough of a market for them?

Oh, yeah hope ya like flat black. Tis painted now.

Todd - 10-12-2009 at 05:26 AM

Flat black is fine and dandy! I think you would have a few that might bite off a rack, post up on the NJ Buggy club and ask. I know what I would be in the market for like we discussed and that was the pull along trailer for hauling/filming purposes.

WELDNGOD - 10-12-2009 at 03:34 PM

already done

Weldngod Looking good have look in to a swing away if you have SUV or pickup with a canapy you can come in form the back willnt have to unload the buggys.

jellis - 17-12-2009 at 10:39 AM

Weldngod I make a rack that swings away from the vehicle. I only sell them locally because of shipping cost. If you would like a copy of the design to make for your local buggiers just email me. They have seen service since 97 without problems.
