Lookn' for a Fixed bridal bar 4 -line

Houston AirHead - 21-12-2009 at 05:41 PM

Lookin for a used 4 line fixed bridal bar, like the one peter lynn makes. I just ordered a 3m pansh for the gnar high winds these fronts have been bringing us. Id rather fly on a bar then handles.

Any one got one for around 15-20 bucks? they could let go of

:puzzled:

just email me.

Just out of curiosity: Why do you like flying FB on a bar rather than handles?

DAKITEZ - 22-12-2009 at 09:35 AM

Pansh kites do not fly well on a standard 4 line bar. The ace does a little better on a standard bar than the legend and blaze, but still not very well. A x-over bar will be your best bet if you want to fly with a bar on a pansh kite.

Your much better off flying them with handles

Flying on a depower bar is much different that flying on a fixed bridal bar because of the bar pressure.

Oh i know , because i like to "set and cruise" im lookin for one with a chicken loop so i can hook in my harness. but dakites says legends don fly well on bars so now im havin second thoughts.

ill just stick with handles then thanks for yall help.

Oh by the way how to you become a pansh gold member, they are giving away a fee kite if you a "gold member".

get a strop for your handles and you can hook those in and cruise no problem.

true that b-roc, i live out in the boonies, and the farmers have large leeves with flat tops all around their crop area, some are about a mile long. ive been scoping them out recently but the wind has been either too high for my 12 meter sle or going the wrong direction. ive heard good things about the speed pansh legends can make so i bought one.

Houston,

which farm land have you been scoping out here.. I want in..hehehe ... I've been eyeing those clean cut fields on FM762 on the way to surfside from my house. Think we can get permission to use those flat fields?

Houston AirHead - 4-1-2010 at 05:48 PM

yeah , man fields like those can be deciving because most of them are hay fields and the tilling machines leave huge ruts that are covered easely. Check them out first. when ever i fly in houston i go to bush park. Best place to go to IMO unless you head over to Bacliff thees a super sweet field over there by a park. as well as an ok launch into the bay. the field is aprox 8 square acres, pretty sweet spot

what i was talking about are mini levees farmers pu up around the fields in needville, only issue with them though is hey are very hard to get to as well as the wind is almost always going the wrong direction to ride them. i tried once but failed as the wind died on me, leaving me with about a 1/2 mile walk of shame...

I fly fixed bridles on bars. I do it because riding toeside with handles is just totally awkward!! Its uncomfortable and its really hard to get much weight over your toes.

You do get more kite control with handles but you can compensate a bit by having different length bars for larger and smaller kites.
