New Crab-Buggy...website

Crab-Buggy - 25-12-2009 at 05:55 AM

Hi y'all !

We've been working on the design of the new Crab-Buggy Website : www.crab-buggy.com

Don't hesitate to tell us what you think about it.

For now, only the two photos are clickable, and lead to the relevant photo album.

And please, no comments about the "cat-erpillar", Stephanie thought it was cute

Cheers !

Looks great, but in my Firefox the cat-erpillar covers the products and rider links - can't navigate ...

indigo_wolf - 25-12-2009 at 10:27 AM

Here are the two links on the page:

Hi Kamikusa,

The Cat-erpilar is there to explain that in fact, you can't navigate yet...

Very nice workmanship Oliver, glad you saw your project through to the end, well worth the time and effort you have put in.

DAKITEZ - 28-12-2009 at 10:13 AM

I have always like the idea of this buggy

Any chance of getting you and your buggy out to NABX so us lazy Americans can get a look at it and maybe a chance to give it a ride?

Kamikuza - 28-12-2009 at 07:12 PM

Oh  the pics work though  although I'd prefer they didn't open in a new tab/window ...

Hi Dakitez ! The Crab was there in 2006, remember ? :)
I'd love to come over. I'll see if I can find a French pilot willing to bring one over next March.
I'll be too busy to come myself, unfortunately.

Hey, thanks Carl.
I am planning to ship prototype 8 (the very final prototype) to Jon so he can finalize the seat, and I would be honored if you would try it out !

Cheers,

Don't worry Kamikuza, Stephanie is a great web programmer, and she will set up cool galleries.
I put the Work In Progress web site online because it was a good place to put the links to the latest prototype.
I created a little galery of the whole Crab genesis here : http://www.box.net/shared/4kjriiud12

Enjoy !

Very cool concept. I built a scrap sail buggy years ago and was clocked on a state park rd. going 53mph in a 20mph zone. But the guy didn't know how to write up the ticket so he let me off with a warning!! Yours looks faster. Enjoy.
Is that a sail board sail? That is what I used.

Crab-Buggy - 1-1-2010 at 03:37 PM

" Free buggys please "
Somehow, that's what's been going on for some time now...
I have given all my prototypes to enthusiastic pilots.
Oregon is somehow out of my reach though ;)

Crab-Buggy - 1-1-2010 at 03:41 PM

"Is that a sail board sail?"

Actually, it's an old windsurf sail.
The sensation of being in front of the wing and controlling the lift of the rear wheel just by sheeting in a bit is tremendous.
The Crab will definitely be upgradeable to the land sail version.

rocfighter - 2-1-2010 at 05:36 AM

As I said before. Very cool :tumble:

Dave Culp has one now after NABX 2010. If you live near him you should be able to test his crab.

Wow, just saw this the other day in PTW's photo gallery of homemade, great to learn more about it! I really like seeing new solutions to the same problem!

Well, now that we know there is one loose in the US somewhere, let's find it!

MG-kites - 28-4-2010 at 10:15 PM
