cheezycheese - 28-12-2009 at 10:19 AM

so i got my son a little set-up for x-mas. big thanks to some of my great friends here on the forum!!!
first question: the board was disassembled for shipping. packed with the lug nutz are four little metal rings. are these lock washers...? what is the correct placement of these...?

second question: anybody flown a 2m firebee before...?
reviews on racekites talk about bridle rings and such, any advice...?
my son weighs about 90lbs...

i am also looking for a harness for him if anybody has one that small... :wee:

If the washer are split/spiral then they are probably lock washers. If they are solid, they are probably just washers. In either case, wheels go on the axles, then washers, then lug/axle nuts.

What kind of board is it?

GI & MBS boards have lock nuts (with nylon inserts) and no washers. Instructions are generally to tighten the nut until it causes the wheels bind when you try to freespin them and then back off a quarter to half of a turn.

No experience with power rings, but you might find these links helpful:

I would almost say hold off on the harness, but..... what's your son's waist size?

ATB,
Sam
