ripsessionkites - 29-12-2009 at 04:29 PM

What size FS Speed 3 "Std Version"??

having some difficulties deciding what size I want

either the 15m or 19m

DenisLaMenace - 29-12-2009 at 04:57 PM

what is your weight ?
for water and/or land ?

ripsessionkites - 29-12-2009 at 05:00 PM

both ... i wouldnt worry too much about my weight 115lbs (im already in the ultralite department)

for water, ill be on a 130cm x 39cm board

DenisLaMenace - 29-12-2009 at 05:14 PM

Ricardo

I would say that for water 15m for people below 175, and the 19m for people above

Maybe the 12m is just enough ?? Otherwise go with 15m. So you can withdraw my vote for the 19m.

Hey

Go with the 15.
I'm thinking along the same line as yourself. I weigh 155 and think the 19 will be to big for me.
The 15 is supposed to be pretty good, fast turning and all.
I'm sure you'll let us know how things work out.
Do they make the 3 in 17?

tridude - 29-12-2009 at 06:27 PM

yes but he can almost get away with the 12m.........................Dom has a review on the 15m S3 and I believe he is around 165 lbs..............and the S2 and 3s come in 12, 15, and 19 meters...................the S1 is 17 meters in both reg and light weight fabric......................my son has the 17m SA with the 1.5 mod......at 175 lbs he can get upwind in 9mph..............Speeds are awesome kites...................the 12m is a serious jumping machine.............................

furbowski - 29-12-2009 at 06:40 PM

yeah not sure if he wants it for jumping or low winds....

i'm not qualified to comment really.... I'll shut up now LOL.

i just know he's a bit crazy about being really powered up! :shocked2:

sorry i missed out i had to work YET again. i work to get more time-off that also never seems to happen either. my theory is skip a few days of local riding for my WC trip in September.

its 12 / 15 or 19 ... if i have to ill go with the Deluxe version.
its going to be shared with BR.

in light winds, i would rather buggy than fight with a kite. i do have Vapor 16m on it way. so ill stick to buggying below 5knots.

basically this kite needs to have US riding and jumping before I can get a Charger 19 out of the bag.

so kinda twisted here, i wanna be able to jump in the lightest winds possible. im thinking 19m but i have to think about my PINK Skirt Buddies too.

where are windranges???

Gunnar uses a 12m in 15 to 17knots (i'll never see that in the summer)

ragden - 30-12-2009 at 05:29 AM

I'd say get the 15m. I weigh in at 185, and it works great for me. I've gotten up riding, and going upwind in 10mph of wind. I would have gotten the 19m, but most places I fly at just dont have the room to setup something that big. I think you'll be fine with that.

wind ranges off the FSer website..........................

ripsessionkites - 30-12-2009 at 10:18 AM

thx

BR ... 6 to 23 knots on the 19m

at 23k you could move to the Syn ... ill still keep going or NoT.

there is no difference from the Deluxe version on windrange???

maybe this might help:

BR Quiver: Charger 6 / 10 / Syn 15

Me Quiver: Charger 10 / 15
