Peter Lynn at KiteStorm

rudeboysaude - 3-1-2010 at 08:27 AM

Alright you guys..

I need ALL my fellow Peter Lynn fliers to rally this year at KiteStorm in VT. This year I'm loading up the trailer and headed to VT to rep for Peter Lynn at Kite Storm. I'm bringing every kite I own and whatever PL sends me to demo. I'm setting up the Mountain Hardwear Stronghold as the Peter Lynn Basecamp. We're going to camp out on the lake in case we can score night session and use the tent as a Peter Lynn Lounge for post session relaxation.

I want us to litter the sky with PL kites and show VT we mean business! If you've been thinking about trying a Peter Lynn kite, get out to VT and fly everything we have. Chargers to old Venoms. Vipers to Twisters.

Hopefully we can show Peter Lynn that we all can rally and show up at events to make demos worthwhile and we'll see them show up more all over the US. So do it for yourself, do it to for your buddies on the west coast. Come to Kite Storm and join the Peter Lynn army of kiters!

Hi rbs, what were the dates for kitestorm again?edit, just googled, nevermind. Feb.20&21!

rudeboysaude - 3-1-2010 at 09:06 AM

Feb 20-21 on Lake Champlain. We'll hopefully arrive Friday morning though so we're there as long as we can be to hang with the crowd.

Plenty of notice for everyone to clear their schedules, sweet talk the wives, and gather in the snow!

if you need another team rider ask the powers that be to get me a ticket!!!!!

Already booked. I'll bring my new 12m Synergy. My first PL and I've only had it in the sky once so hopefully I'll have time to get it dialed in before kitestorm.

Also....the rooms for this are almost sold out so book it now if you're thinking about it. There are other hotels nearby if the Best Western is already full.

Wow that is one crazy tent. You'll be hard to miss with that thing. I'll definitely stop by to say hello.

Yeah, it survived the wind and sand at NABX and has been a sweet hotel for us at events. In fact, we're sleeping in it on the lake. Maybe get a night session in. If the hotel is full, people are welcome to crash in it with us. Stop by, come inside and hang out! The bigger crew we have the better!

@Kitenh- anybody else from the Mass. crew coming down or is that up...? :duh:

I'm sure there will be others. Doublespeed360 usually goes as well as buggydan and I would think the Powerline Sports crew will be going up as they usually do and Jay flew / flies PLs.

Oh man, that is quite a memory.

I've been doing this since 94, and have long realized that tents on the lake bed are iffy at best. Noisy, dusty, and they get blow down/away.

So there I am at NABX and I see these guys putting together a tent right next to my car. An obvious brand new tent. Instructions out, poles all over the place, and the wind just itching to go nuclear (it was already kinda strong).

I go over and politely mention to them that the dry lake bed is not the best for tents (or something to that effect). And I sat back/hovered as I watched it come together.

Little did I know what kind of a fortress they were putting together. That thing didn't *move* in the 40+ winds we had. No flex. Nothing. They/it showed me!! That is no ordinary tent...

yes, what Steve said - amazing tent for the dry lake

Got word there will be 10,12,15 and 19 demo Chargers at Kite Storm. Come and join us in VT and fly whatever size you're thinking about purchasing. Rachael should have some extra brand spanking new ones available at event pricing as well so if you think you want one, contact her to reserve one for yourself. We'll be there Fri-Sun night, so make plans to join us, should be a great time!

I'll be there ready for anything. If there's wind I'll kite regardless of whether its ice or snow. If no wind but good ice I'm skating. If no wind but good snow we'll stop by and say hi before we hit some local glades.

doublespeed360 - 25-1-2010 at 06:09 PM

will be there with the boston area crew, and friends from the granite state NH.pray for 5 inches snow
