lives2fly - 5-1-2010 at 05:26 AM

Wow! that looks awesome!

And yeah it is cold in Europe. Even in the UK where it hardly ever snows anymore...

I have been snowboarding, XC skiing and ice climbing in the last 2 weeks and I didn't even have to leave the country :)

popeyethewelder - 6-1-2010 at 12:44 PM

bobalooie57 - 9-1-2010 at 11:53 AM

Rip, did Ozzy send you that link,:puzzled: or do you spend late night red-bull fueled sessions watching foreign internet newscasts to practice your Dutch?:bouncy: JK, it was worth watching 4.5 min of (sorry) gibberish (to my ignorant ears) to see Ozzy go flying across the screen in less than 5 seconds!

Ruudje - 9-1-2010 at 01:02 PM

4 sec. to be exact ;-)
The reporter was talking about the skate tour that was happening at that day .
Ozzy was just crossing the screen .

LOL ... i had to change up my lifestyle a little, and RB at night wasnt doing so well, as I tended to yell at my staff a lot. I wanted to charge up by running half marathons in the office. So now:
Work (Night) - Coffee (keeps me up but melow)
Playtime (Day) - RedBull (the energy to kite 4hrs after working a 14+hour shift, and napping 4-5hrs in between)

REDBULL is the best Go Go / Zoom Zoom Juice in the world.

Yes, Im Dutch-Canadian now, and by World Cup I should be able to speak a full sentence. ROFL.

OZZY wears a skirt ... J/K, good job at 65Km on Ice. Crossing my fingers for ya to have steady Bft. 5 today than yesterdays Bft 7+.

rocfighter - 10-1-2010 at 07:32 AM

Cool to see him there. But the welder fabricater in me liked the VW snow plow!! I myself use a 1988 Suburu fastback with a 3" suspention lift and a 6' 4-way plow :wee:
It gets boring here in the long winter months so I play with steel!

ripsessionkites - 10-1-2010 at 11:25 AM

Hey KB888 ... did you type that whole email on your iphone?

dunno if Ruudje replied or not, but ill give you his contact so you can use Skype on your iphone.
however we need to either call him at 24:00 or 12:00.

I think we would run better on Ski than Blades??? Fab me up a set too please.

PS. your ApeXX racing number was requested as KB 888
hehehe. :P

rocfighter - 11-1-2010 at 09:24 AM

I realy like the blades on the close up shot. I suppose it is carbon steel fastened to a rocker plate to keep it flat on the ice.I may make some for my sail buggy.

bobalooie57 - 11-1-2010 at 09:34 AM

Man that looks so cool, one of you welding geniuses come up with a mod for a P.L. Comp.Std. buggy and I'll buy one!
edit: of course the stresses put upon the poor thing haulin my butt would prolly blow it apart on the first hot turn!

Coolbreeze - 11-1-2010 at 10:23 AM

Hey Ricardo KB (Kite B..ch) 88

I think skiis would be the only option right now but up untill last week there where people skating on the lake while we where kiting. The skates cut through the crud down to the hard ice, but I doubt that it's a smoothe as the ice Ruddje has right now, it almost make you want to take a trip:yes:

PS: Note to Ruudje Thats KC 888 Not KB 888 just incase there was any confusion. :)

rocfighter - 11-1-2010 at 02:49 PM

Hey Rip, I'm glad you changed your lifestyle. I hear that Red Bull can stunt your growth.:Ange09:

shaggs2riches - 12-1-2010 at 06:47 PM

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are those skates a custom thing?? If not how could a person acquire a set to fit a Peter Lynn Comp XR+ Buggy?? I'm sure if I really looked around, I could find a lake that would stay uncovered enough to play on.

16°C in east Vancouver today. I was static flying wearing a tshirt. No snow on a mountain that had a 5m base last year. The predicted high for Abbotsford, about 30 miles up the valley from Vancouver, is 15°C for the next three days. In region noted for rain forests, the water department is starting worry about water shortages this summer because of dwindling snow packs. What are the AGGCC* deniers going say next? ;)
