I've recently started flying kites again, and I have a QuadTrac Pro Foil on order. I am curious about using it to Landboard, but I don't know if we
have enough space in Santa Fe. Can you really landboard on a soccer field? It seems like a lot of money for a board to ride in such a small space.
Are most of you out there landboarding on dry lake beds, or can you make creative use of parks and playing fields?
Thanks,
Paul

sure you can! kite landboard on largish school fields. I'm new at it, too, so If I can anybody can!

You can easily board on an area that small. I find I like to jump, so all it takes is a small run to get some speed, and then jump. Go back the
other direction and do the same thing.

A single soccer field will do, although you can't get too much speed going. With my 5m kites, I've found that after about 2 or 3 dips, I have to turn
around.
Obviously, watch out for those soccer goal posts, always make sure you are down wind of them (imagine getting lofted into one, UGH!). Somehow, my
kites are stragely attracted to football goal posts too.
Any riding is good riding. If you can crank in a small field, you'll be that much better when you get to a larger field, or frozen lake when winter
comes around.
