I promise to hang onto this one this time! Nothing wrong with the other one....it just wasn't "this" one.

Can't wait! Should be here via slower than molasses USPS "but you won't be soaked by border crossing fees" ground service. Ten days from.......now.

(I bet we get nothing but light wind for the rest of the month.......)

Nice
Don't rag on USPS so much - good service and price to Japan from the US ... without them my quiver would be much poorer

Is is a 2.5 ?? did you find a way to figure out.

Bladerunner - 13-1-2010 at 06:01 PM

I trust it will be the kite of your dreams ! :bigok:

We're going on a prayer on the 2.5 / non 2.5 thing. I heard that the pre-2.5's used a different material for the internal structure than the external skin so if you look at the ripstop pattern it should be different. Then I was told that when they moved up in thickness ever so marginally with the newer Skytex they had to shave some weight so they used the same material inside and outside on the 2.5's. The weight gain on the skin was offset by the weight reduction on the internals.

So they say.

The dude bought the kite in early '09 and was sold a "Skytex" kite......here's hopin'.

(I WISH it was cheaper......not a lot more $$, but more nonetheless.)
