OR Session 2 question ...

... emailed OR and they sent me a Front Leash Connection thingy for nothing didn't even pay for postage, how good is that?

Problem is ... I'm buggered if I can figure out how to put it on the spreader bar :puzzled: help!

I am shameless.... I have a call into OR.... they should be calling back soon. Alas the online manual doesn't include the info, as you have doubtlessly learned.

EDIT: OK.... here you go.

The Front Leash Connector (FLC) is a stainless ring attached to a length of webbbing, that then terminated in a length of cord.

1. Disconnect the velcro and pull the spreader bar cover open.
   
2. Undo the webbing straps on one side of the spreader bar.
   
3. Larkshead the cord on the FLC to the spreader bar.
   
4. Reattach the webbing straps to the spread bar.
   
5. Pass the stainless ring on the FLC through the slit in the spreader bar cover.
   
6. Reattach the velcro retainers to the spread bar cover.
   
7. You are now ready to attach the front leash and go out and scare small children and sea gulls.
   
8. Completed it should look like the picture below.

hey Kami - if you don't have a leash attachment on your harness, the OR harness and bar usually come with a small webbing/velcro tab with a metal ring. This tab is actually a small larks head shape that you can put on the bar and it gives you a ring that is then on your bar - you can even put that tab anywhere it fits on your harness. I have a few extras and they are quite easy to make - need a photo, I'll find a quick link someplace,

Eeek....sorry Mark... didn't see your post until after I had posted. I had just opened up the edit window waiting for OR to call back, which they did scary quick.

Seems OR sent me the connector for the handle pass leash - got a ring on each end that'll be why it doesn't work! That thing Markite posted is what I really wanted.
Feel like a heel after the free part and postage, asking for another one ...

Bloody good service though, I'll be looking at more OR kit in the future

Update - OR has mailed me confirming the distributor sent me the wrong one and that they've put the right one in the post for me ... again, free of charge! Didn't even have to ask :bouncy:
It's the small things that add up to great service I'll be looking at OR gear first when I buy new stuff :D pity they don't make arcs

Got it today and it attaches fine never ceases to amaze me how easy it is to do a job when you have the right tools
