Angus has the custom spars but I believe any P.L. dealer can order the aftermarket ones as well ?Maven454 - 21-1-2010 at 04:24 AM

Correct, to the best of my knowledge. Angus, Kent, and I'm sure others, can all acquire the standard PL spars. Personally, I'd go for the custom
ones though.acampbell - 21-1-2010 at 09:32 AM
Yes we can all get them from PL. Because of the many variations of sizes (about 40), I do not know of anyone that stocks them so they have to be
ordered from the Netherlands. About $60-80 US retail and shipping is expensive unless you can time it to ride with a larger regular shipment.
I had grade 7075 Aluminum components custom made for me by Easton, a well known OEM supplier to the camping industry and military. I think the
rounded solid end caps are a plus. Final weight of mine are about the same of similar originals.markite - 21-1-2010 at 01:46 PM
As another option - especially for Canadians - you can get the rod sections from MEC for something like 3.00 each. They have 9mm and 11mm, get the
11mm. Never had a problem with them but you will need to cap the ends.
Angus's sound very niceBigMikesKites - 21-1-2010 at 03:57 PM
I'll probably be putting an order together in a few weeks and something can ride along with that order. If you don't find anything before then.Kamikuza - 21-1-2010 at 06:40 PM
Angus' are the dogs bollocks - very pretty end caps too :D Those rubber things on the OE ones annoy me no end ... I'd love to replace all my spars
with the Angus Elite Black Spar ...
