I get a magazine every few months from my insurance company; which, usually covers topics in the prairies. The latest issue had a picture of a
snowkiter on the cover. Inside has an article about a group of kiters in the provinces capital here's the link if anyone wants to read it:
I left a comment leaving my e-mail inviting any of the kiters to contact me if they are looking for someone to kite with. I make a few trips out that
way each year.InvertedForce - 20-1-2010 at 07:36 PM

Hmmm.. insurance company calling kiter "crazy".
I wonder how long before the kiting addiction (and any injuries thereof) is excluded as a pre-existing condition :ticking:markite - 20-1-2010 at 11:13 PM
cool, some good exposure - hey it's all about exposure in the prairie winters.
Good stuff. A lot of people don't realize how long kite skiing has been around, it's actually way beyond the life of kitesurfing. I think the Erie PA
IceFly hosted by Lee Sedgewick started maybe more than 25yrs ago now. I remember at least 23 years ago it was on. Snowboarding came later though.Bladerunner - 21-1-2010 at 06:33 AM

The kites, which can be anywhere from two metres (22 sq. ft.) to 15 metres (160 sq. ft.) in area and priced from $1,000 to
$3,000, are engineered for all types of riders: speed freaks, jumpers, even learners.
Looks like they are trying to discourage the uninformed/ poor shopers.
