if it wasnt for him getting royally SPANKED... i'd have more of a problem with it... but it was good to see him get jacked

lad - 16-2-2010 at 11:49 AM

Sheesh, if the kite smacked over some speeding trucS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s windshield it wouldn't have been too amusing!

Drewculous - 16-2-2010 at 11:53 AM

^^ exactly... not trying to start anything.... seriously... but this is why i like Killers

bigkid - 16-2-2010 at 12:12 PM

WOW. what can you say? not sure what language they were speaking but it sounded like the camera guy was laughing at the clown with the sand in his shorts.
I'm sure mom and dad would be proud.:shocked2:

Dutch, I expect.... Northwest Netherlands Coast.

Was that a Blade III?

Is it my imagination or does it seem like everytime you see something like this, it sounds like the wind is ripping the foam off the mic on the video camera? Do people just think it's morally wrong to go out in lighter winds during your initial flights?

I'll fess up and admit we did some questionable things growing up, but pretty much all of them put us in harm's way, while leaving bystanders alone to sort out what the hell we were thinking, in case things went really South.

I still have no recollection of what led us to believe that a steam cannon wouldn't come back to bite us.... probably the boredom of being stuck on an island.

ATB,
Sam

God has a way of protecting fools but not always.

some people don't respect the power until they get superman'd, some people don't respect the power even after.

Kamikuza - 16-2-2010 at 06:02 PM

 kid could have a great career as a back hoe!

Looks like my ol' Blade III 6.6 ... I think people just don't realize how much power is in the wind - after all, who's ever been dragged down the beach by a single line kite :bigok:

Nice one roc

Oops... I'm not really dumb, but do have impulse control issues. I blame it on paint chips, lead pipes, and sitting to close to the TV.

Hardrock - 16-2-2010 at 07:21 PM

We need to send that guy a harness so he can hook in.

I'm afraid he's gona destroy that kite by letting go like that.:smilegrin:

Erics - 17-2-2010 at 04:18 AM

Good one to show new flyers why kite killers are vital. if the kite had hit a car and caused an accident wonder who the parents would have tried to sue as it could not have been there kids fault.

Bladerunner - 17-2-2010 at 06:47 PM

This one sure is a good case for the kite killer crowd.
Say what you will about the flying the choice of location wasn't so bone headed. The general rule is 200 yards down wind and they had all of that before the road. I think he got dragged 150 before letting go!
I think that is the farthest I have seen a runaway kite go accept out on the Playa and Mt. Haggin?
