Spring break in Thailand

Kamikuza - 18-2-2010 at 11:40 PM

Wife wants to get out of the country for the school spring holidays ... and the interesting places in Europe we want to see are all shut. So we're going to Hua Hin, Thailand where I will kitesurf and she will shop or something, I don't care.

Woohoo! We're going to rent an apartment near the beach and hopefully it'll be all good ...!
Taking my Synergy's with me

Awesome man! Have fun!

I especially like the bit about "...shopping or something, I don't care."

Reminds me of Dumb & Dumber, " Yeah I called her up. She gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something. I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention. "

Harry was a good listener :spin:

What a cool plan Kam, Have a great time.
Sandy and I are heading to Antigua on March 30th for 8 days for the kite fest there. We have great wives don't we :singing:

I hear one night in Bankok makes a hard man humble

I'm heading to Ireland in August... gonna have me some uber fresh Guinness, while the new wife goes shopping or something... j/k

Kami, I almost had an opp to hang at the Thai beaches this Winter too. The down side is I heard there can be a lot of disgusting debris on some of the beaches in some seasons.

No problems for a soft man like me then :D
We'll no doubt do some interesting things too, I wanna go to the aquarium (somewhere!) and see the Giant Freshwater Stingray, see a real Muay Thai fight etc etc.
I've heard jelly fish might be a problem, some site recommended long pants :(

Hey if you go to Ireland make sure you check out Bettystown Beach, I think it is - just north of Dublin ... kite and landboard heaven! Miles of hard-pack sand, wide and fish'n'chips shops right next to the car-park. We stayed in that area for about 4 days I think; went to the Boyne Valley megalithic sites and the castle in land a little where they filmed bits of Braveheart ... I loved Ireland!

Kamikuza - 20-2-2010 at 03:07 AM

If you even have to ask - ... well you just shouldn't have to

rocfighter - 20-2-2010 at 05:28 AM

You will find marrage to be a compromise, She will give you that look and say please. And you will compromise!!
Only kidding not realy but I am. Enjoy all the happiness allowed.

Mine would let me have a day kiting so she could go shopping or get a haircut or something

Here's the place ...

I was interested in Newgrange so we stayed near Slane, and Bettystown was nearby. You can drive down onto the beach but don't get your car stuck in the wet sand like Studly did - ruined his date no doubt, having to get his boganmobile towed out but amused us no end
