ripsessionkites - 22-2-2010 at 01:18 PM

remember that huge debate

LEI - Delta shapes do/does auto relaunch

Arcs = auto zenith

Some LEI = auto side window

yeah i saw that on kitemovement this morning... the elastic bridals look a little if-y... cool side launch tho

Hey

I don't remember the huge debate, but that's close to how all my LEIs relaunch. At least the bow and SLE ones.
Might be a little easier but any I've used in the top 2/3 of their wind range will relaunch pretty close to that.
No auto-zenith on any though.

I'm certainly no authority on any of nicer rigs like that. But he or she:rolleyes: made that look about as easy as pie.

Cool feature but bows are so easy to relaunch anyways and if you were flying on land it might mess up the LE over time when it tried to slide to the edge everytime.

Yup. I was on a Best Guroo in PEI and that's exactly what it did as well. I was impressed.

:thumbup: My flexi's move and sit on the edge unless they are straight nose down on flat water , but a quick swim upwind and a little tug usually flips them pretty quick.

He/she still had to provide bar input to get it back in the air :puzzled: I don't call that "auto" relaunch ...! Very easy relaunch, yes ... auto setup to relaunch, yes ... :lol:

Most of the SLE/bow kites do the floating out to the edge of the wind window, don't they? I thought that was the whole reason for going to the bow shape ...?

They put any more bridle lines on those SLE's, they may as well just make it closed cell oh wait what? Flysurfer already did that? :lol:
