Please allow me to intoduce myself....

Krohn1999 - 25-2-2010 at 04:23 AM

So I've been here long enough, it's time for my "outting"

Name: Chris Krohn
Age: 37
Born : Northfield, Minnesota
Grew up in: Farmington Mn.
Married: Yes
Kids: 3 (Two are Fosterchildren)
Job: Licensed Aircraft MaintenanceEngineer
(LBA/EASA/FAA)
Employer: Honeywell Aerospace
Other: Also have a small Kiteshop as a Hobby

Life Story: After High school I joined the Army and got sent to Germany (1990) After leaving the Army(1992, it wasn't my thing) I decided to stay in Germany for a few years. The few Years turned into 20 years now so I've lived here longer than in the States.
I started kiting about 6 years ago, and buggying shortly thereafter.

Because of the kiteshop (which I of course am the best customer) I get to try almost everthing that comes on the market.

My Favorite spots are Les Hemmes in France, Browersdamm/Ouddrop in Holland, and of course Fano in Denmark.

I know comercial postings are not allowed but:
I do rent equpment so if anyone is over here and wants to do some kiting let me know I can get you set up.

Wow I feel so much better now!!

Krohn is a great source of info (helped me with some info on an oldie but goodie kite a while back) for people looking for advice/info. Never been to Germany- might have to look into that.

Are you a man of wealth and fame?
Welcome out of the shadows. It is better to fly in the sunlight.

You didn't have to come out !

I knew you were a skilled kiter with tons of access and experience from the quality info / opinions you have. I noticed you right away and even though we haven't met I have looked to you with respect.

I'm saving my cash for a better buggy :D. Hopefully by Wildwood. I've got most of the wind range covered with the kites I already own.

Interesting... My current plan is to get a slightly customized one of these. AWOC says he thinks it will be the first one on the east coast.

indigo_wolf - 26-2-2010 at 01:36 PM

Yes, the Ivanpah is drool worthy... if they made a matte or beadblasted version, I would have to seriously rethink the whole contract killer proposition.

Since you are already in contact with Kent I am surprised the PL Monster didn't come up.

ATB,
Sam

Maven454 - 26-2-2010 at 02:01 PM

The Monster was discussed too... and debated... I think if the Monster were a big foot, I would have gone for that one.

Really? Nice. I'd been talking to him while he still had it, but if you picked it up, I'm glad it went to a good home :D.
